We were down for the weekend, at Southsea, when we won 4-1 and did a pub crawl from our digs to the ground. We took in the local Hell's Angels clubhouse who's lads I knew, my mates were terrified tbh. I was also at Roker when they came to be promoted and we kicked their arse all over as they came across the bridge from the station. Hope we smash them tomorrow but I'd be no more pleased than against Rochdale.
Probably - and he should be tasked with saving everything with his chest and legs - no hands Luke. What a bloke
Can’t wait for this mind. I’m meant to be putting together a performance report and all I’m doing is cycling SAFC pages. Stroll on 4pm.
I don't think he should play either. I noticed on the stream from the Wolves U23 match that RTB put up on the Mitch Curry thread, that Younger was playing LB in that, so he's played there before. His performances in the Papa Johns and last week have given reason for optomism. Stick him in.
Great thread as always well done and thanks. Hard game to predict. Pompey hammered last time out doesn’t help us in my opinion. Bit of a point to prove. I will settle for a draw would love a win. I will go for 1-1 but might be a sneaky away win.
"This is a huge game for us,” said Johnson. “It’s only three points but every match is an opportunity, especially at the business end of the season and that is what this is now. “The boys have been great and we have clawed back some good ground, but we don’t want the train to stop there.” He continued: “We want to continue our progression in terms of our performance. “The focus is to keep improving those little intricacies that lead to a good display and a win, and then hopefully a run of wins. “There is a trust both ways from players to staff and staff to players, and that is the only way you are going to be successful. “I expect to have Gooch back, he trained today [Monday] but we will check on him in the morning. “We have a fair few boys heading in the right direction which is important, and we are in a good place if you fast-forward two weeks’ time.”
Going off what LJ has just said looks like only Gooch is back in contention tonight from the injured lads
MY team if injuries permit Burge Younger / Sanderson / O/9 A midfield in diamond formation of Power Gooch / Scowen AoB front three of Jones / Wyke / McGeady
I’d definitely start Scowen tonight for his legs and workrate. Id be close to Clockstander team above.
