Yes - was manager of Ireland from 96-2002 and a few clubs since so knows his way round. Another one full of experience with mixed results. Sort of manager fans might not appreciate till he has gone like Wolves and Ipswich who both got relegated after he left.
Flipping Nigel Pearson - all he had to do was get his side to beat Bournemouth, but no - it was beyond him...
It was a shocking decision by David Webb, the referee. The linesman did not indicate a penalty so it was Webb's decision. The standard of refereeing in the Championship is very poor - even worse than in the Premier League. There was no absolutely contact on Kyle Naughton by Jack Clarke and only a few moments earlier Andre Ayew had tried to con the referee into giving a free kick just outside the penalty area. Michael O'Neill sounded angry about the decision, but appeared willing to give the benefit of doubt to Naughton by suggesting that he might have caught his own feet. The Sentinel (Stoke newspaper) and fans on the Stoke forums were outraged. Even the Swansea fans thought that they had struck lucky.
Want to see other results come in. But, wife wants to drag me round the market so got the old man shopping trolley out.
