ACN - BIG impact for NUFC but none for SAFC

He was excellent there when he played for Mallorca. Also I prefer the experience and workrate of Jonas in there than the other options. It might end up a disaster that doesn't work but thats my opinion!!!

 

He played at the top of a 5-man midfield, in the HBA role, not sure how he'd deal with centre mid, especially considering the passing ability required to play there!

 

I can see where you're coming from Jock, his engine gives the impression he could cope with central midfield. My only concern would be Jonas can be quite a free spirit at times, and while we cope with that on the wings and maybe even behind a front man, I'd be concerned we'd get picked off if he was central. He wouldn't do what Cheik and Cabaye have done so well in holding their central position I suppose but he's certainly an option. I'm not a fan of Guthries and would prefer young Abeid and Gosling ahead of him but I know others like him a little more.

 

I think guttierez in the middle might be alright, if he has the discipline to play in the middle and not drift around like in a free role!!

 

Key word there mate. That was my thinking behind playing Jonas there, his disipline. He always tracks back and has phenomenal work rate!!!

 

Abeid is Algerian so if Algeria qualify then we could lose him too

 

So drop cabaye into tiotes role and Gutierrez into cabayes vacant role, simples!!

So by the time tiote comes back we will still be unbeaten and top of the league!! Lol

 

Just bring Guthrie in for Tiote, and Ben Arfa for Ba. Easy.

 

That would be suicidle! Cabaye central midfield by himself is a big no go
