I think we can be happy with a point in the end today, Schmeichel saved us from getting beaten with some fine saves. I just wish we'd stop trying to play out from the back, we obviously aren't capable of doing it. When we did look long Iheanacho won headers and held the ball up well, plus his finish was sublime. Look to the weekend and hope we can get some minutes out of Maddison, good to see Fofana back too, he did well when he came on I thought.
Overall encouraging... young players will make mistakes and Hamza did put in a shift trying to rectify his mistake ... shame he couldn't convert that chance in the first half. Just need to get Praet and Perez back and Vardy back up to full throttle now... but good mental strength shown, has to be said.
Hamza definitely at fault and should have been sharper so early in the game. Some people question what he brings to the side but for me he is a far better option than Mendy. The guy infuriates me at times. He will find a way to play a ball backwards regardless of what's on. Great to see Iheanacho get such a great goal and a real shame he had to be hooked for tactical reasons. Schmeichel, simply outstanding.
A fair result. 2 world class saves from Kasper and he actually came for a couple of crosses! Burnley were pinging in crosses at will, so they new where our weaknesses were. Great goal from Nacho and everyone put in a decent shift. Great to see Fofana back.
Our next 2 games are against Brighton and Sheffield Utd. We really need to get 6 points on the board from these 2 games, as during this time, there are some 6 pointers in and around us. Manchester City v Manchester United Chelsea v Everton Arsenal v Tottenham Hotspur ??? Manchester United v West Ham United West Ham United v Arsenal
Can't disagree with Scott here. ️ "VAR is killing every bit of it. You no longer celebrate a goal" Scott Parker opens up on how he believes VAR is ruining how fans enjoy football https://t.co/v8BH7byDcT
I was quite happy with Wednesday, a point away and no further injuries but the results last night are deflating. Us, Everton and Spurs all away at relegation battling sides and the difference being a moment of madness from Choudhury whilst the other two are both handed 3 points rather than 1 by VAR decisions! That Spurs one was shocking, Fulham goal rules out for handball when not only was his arm by his side but he was also sideways on so if his arm wasn’t there it’d have hit his hip. Absolutely shocker that Spurs have got away with. And for Everton another dubious offside.
I wonder if we can turn this form around, it looks like its going to turn into the deflated performances of the final 3rd of the season last year.
Teams are now creeping up on us and I feel this is a must win game. My starting eleven would be: Kasper Ricardo Fofana Soyuncu Castagne Under Tielemans Ndidi Albrighton Iheanacho Vardy
Agree this is a must win game but would swap Amatey for Under. Offers maybe less offensively but we need a solid back four. Ricardo then to move further upfield but who also tracks back. If that makes sense.
I don't think it'll be a repeat. Now, I'm not confident because I'm a Leicester fan and that's not my natural disposition but I think we're mentally stronger this year. I'm hoping we can pick up a decent points tally from the next 2 matches, get some players a rest over the international break and then we'll have some of the injured boys back too. Which should enable us to have a good April and May. Now I've typed that I'm panicking it'll all go wrong again The obvious problem is how tight it is at the top end. Lots of the top 7 or 8 have to play each other though. I'm more worried now than I was when I started this post
Might need Amartey to help cope with Brighton's aerial threat ... but Under woud cause their defence more direct problems than Albrighton...
I’ve seen a post somewhere that showed for their height, Brighton have actually conceded more than us from set pieces and scored less so unsure what will give...
Sidnei Tavares getting his full debut ... excited about that ... he certainly doesn't lack confidence
Woeful first half. Need to revert to a back four to give us more options further up the pitch. At this rate it’ll be two or three nil. Just keep going back to Schmeichel and trying to work it out from the back, which we can’t do.
It’s sad watching this happen again. It’s so bad it’s unwatchable. I sat through JPT games with Lincoln and cold nights in the stands in league 1, a particularly crap night at the Don Valley vs Rotherham jumps to mind but I really find us unwatchable so often now. Always backwards, so negative you know after 5 minutes that they aren’t at it. I hate the fact I find myself not wanting to continue watching but ultimately if there’s something more enjoyable to do with the time, I’m finding myself turning off early and doing it...
