As against a 2nd minute one for you lot a game or two ago. You are SO predictable.

There's certainly not been much that hasn't gone their way this season.
Not a good night for us.
Never mind, it could have been a lot worse.

No way that’s a pen - the ref must have been bunged a free 2 week holiday down the Gower in Plugs caravan and a years supply of pegs and tea towels.

Not sure how Clingo. Brentford are too far ahead for their loss to mean much unless they continue losing.

The only positives were the Wurzels' dead cat bounce being halted albeit with Bournemouth winning and Stoke keeping well behind us but again with the negative of the Jacks keeping distance between us plus they have 2 games in hand.

    I need a drink.

Sorry BfB, I should have been more specific. My head goes on safari sometimes.
I was talking about the season as a whole but only my head knew what I was talking about in fairness. Should have introduced a bit of context first.
You're absolutely right as far as the evening events are concerned.

Just face it - the ref gave you one - it happens but it seems to happen more for you than most - maybe the refs feel sorry for the minnows :undecided:

Bad results for us last night, but we can only just keep winning our games and picking up the points - the maths will take care of itself. The top 4 look to have got away and the other 2 places in the top 6 are the only ones still up for grabs.

Note that Bournemouth have still to play Barnsley, Swansea, Middlesbrough, Norwich and Brentford - Reading still have Barnsley, Watford , Us, Swansea and Norwich.

Barnsley are a massive threat and could be the key to this. Those 2 games against Bournemouth and Reading are the only "difficult" fixtures apart from a final game at home to Norwich on that pitch of theirs. Other than that, they've got a very winnable run in. If we finish above them, I reckon its top 6 for us.

My brother in law was going bonkers about Bournemouth last night. As usual loads of possession and pretty passing but little goal threat. It took the Wurzel's keeper to give them an equaliser.

He thought a draw was nailed on. I said, no worries Shane Long will come on as sub and score from at least 2 feet out. On he came on 75. I got one thing wrong. The winner came off Cameron Carter-Vickers back from about 2 feet.

Unless Bournemouth can find a way of scoring regularly they are going to slip away leaving us and Barnsley and possibly Reading for 5th and 6th spot. Reading have the advantage of knowing where the goal is and a very good striker in Lucas João.

Yes and we have Reading, Brentford, the minnows & Watford to play.<doh>

IMO Barnsley will run out of steam soon. Probably against Plugs lot with a 99th minute penalty for a ‘handball’ off the opponents face outside the box, which goes in off the keepers trailing leg via the post and back into the net

Like I've said all along Nin - with games like that coming up for us, it's down to us to do something about it.

We can't influence Barnsley/Bournemouth or Barnsley/Reading etc - it's ouf our hands but someone is bound to drop points in those games.

Hope Colin thinks of us and ensures they beat Bournemouth and Barnsley.

Some important games today that could see a gap developing again.

Reading and Bournemouth could put some distance between them and us, and I'm not expecting Barnsley to slip up at home to Brum and go above us.

Not sure who I want to win between the Swans and Boro.........:emoticon-0138-think:emoticon-0138-think

Very quiet on here today - hangover from last night? Just watched our next opponents Watford on the box beating Forest in the early KO.

Forest no great shakes but not bad, whereas Watford looked very impressive and can actually pass a ball to each other.

What is Mick going to do about that?
