Getting a 20m pound player (Harry Wilson), in on loan is a big bonus for them. I really think the loan market needs exploiting when you are in the Championship, it really can make the difference for some teams being able to borrow top talent for a season. It was only a couple of years ago Villa had Tammy Abraham and Tyrone Mings on loan in their promotion winning season. Derby nearly managed it aswell when they had Wilson and Mason Mount on loan.
His teams are always honest, hard working, have a few forwards who can score and are organised. Players play for him. Not enough for the Premier League mind, but often enough to get you there. Smart appointment, and looked it at the time.
You are correct smug, Cardiff in the Premier League is a bit of a mick taking, whilst we languish below them.
Certainly making the Ipswich fans who spent the best part of 5 years calling for his head look like the fools they are.
Spot on. Evans on loan for Utd with us under Keane played a big part of us going up, him and Nyron were solid.
What is the bloke doing down there. They hammered Derby 4-0 last night with only 27% possession ... ... yet managed twice as many shots, 11 on target and more corners. It's madness
