These Accrington commentators are like a couple of moaning housewives. Bring back to Burton fellas from a month ago, still my favourite away commentators this season.
Can’t say I blame them. This game is too tight to sit on a one goal lead, needs freshening up and Town need to do a bit more to make it three.
We don’t have any Ipswich commentators on the iFollow away games, so they’re the local Accrington blokes. They keep going on about being down to ten men.
We’ve looked very flat this second half. Struggling to create much against ten man Stanley. We seem quite content to just grind this out for a 2-1 win, but I fear a defensive error from us.
Defending well but so lazy and sloppy with the ball. Just need to see this out now but Stanley definitely deserve something out of the game.
My battery has gone on the laptop with two minutes to play so keeping everything crossed for the result to come in !
I’m pretty sure he had two free Town players in the box, should’ve squared it rather than round the keeper and attempted whatever he tried to do afterwards. Good win and a good first half performance. Think we took our foot off the gas (as our impending American owners would say) in that second half. Play offs are opening up for us.
He did, totally confused for a second he badly wanted a goal but didn't shoot early enough then got lost.
9 points behind Hull in 2nd with 3 games in hand on them. We've got a game in hand on everyone else above us bar Doncaster. Seems like a change of manager and a gamble at the perfect time for a late push.
3 wins on the trot, when did that last happen? Puts a smile on Paul Cooks face, bitter sweet for PL. Need new manager to get to work in the office tmrw. Must maintain this momentum and give the out of favours a chance, as weary legs after long spell of 2 games a week. Hopeflly the Yankee deal completes soon and a fresh new broom can start in earnestbto bring our club back. Not before time, and I feel an optimism coming back.
I don’t think we can possibly catch 2nd with such a big gap but we can certainly make the play offs thanks to these results against play off rivals.
With a huge amount of luck, the top 2 isn't beyond us. However I don't think we've got the squad to cope. A few injuries to key players and we look a different team. Based on the previous 4 seasons and our players injury records I'd say its highly likely we have a few more injuries this season. Lose Norwood and in my mind it's a different ball game. We have what I would say are 2 half decent 2nd strikers to play off in a top 2 in this division (Sears and Jackson) but lack someone other than Norwood who can play the lone striker role.
