Who else forgot we still have Arbenit Xhemajli on our books?
It'd completely slipped my mind that we still had him. He looked pretty decent in the little I did see of him, and being a Kosovan international he obviously has something about him that could be a bonus for next season.

Another plus point is that he's a Left footer. Thats something we lack in in Defence which is the only reason i can think of in why Flanagan gets so much game time when he's fit, so that it balances things out abit along the Centre backs.

I ain't forgotten about him, Tees. He looked like a quality CB who can play out from defense and fit into a 3 or 4 at the back formation.

very unluck at the back, mate. Xhemaji, Feeney (before he went back), Hume, Willis, Flanagan, McGloughlin all out for a long patch, and now Wright out for a stint of games.

Great, means the coaching staff can have a proper look at him over the summer too. Could be like a new signing

I hadn't forgotten about him, as it was stated at the time of his injury that he was out for the rest of the season, like the others who have seen him play I look forward to his complete recovery, and hope he is back in time for the start of next season. Hopefully at another level, as he looks like he could handle it no bother to me, but only time will tell.

Was he not injured on international duty. Are his wages being paid for by insurance?

You always seem to manage a cracking little story or two Tees. just wish more people would contribute, but just to let you know that they are appreciated, especially by the overseas fans

It’s a real pity with the lad.
The bits and pieces of him he looked very assured, bit of pace, read the game well and attacked the ball well in both boxes.
Hope he makes a full recovery. It’s very possible that he could make the step up with us if we got promoted.

Feeney was an odd one. Came highly recommended from Everton's academy, yet we have him a 6 month deal. Looked neat and tidy before getting injured. Rather than get him fit and have a proper look we release him just as our front line CBs all go down injured

I was wondering - does anyone know if he at least got to get home to his family during this whole period? Or has he been stuck in a new country re-habbing an injury with nothing to do?

Pandemic has been awful for a lot of people and a lot worse for many obviously, but what awful luck for the guy.
