Match Day Thread Everton v Southampton 01/03/21 8PM Sky Sports

It wasn’t awful by any stretch. Just not terribly inspiring.

 

Other than the 10th minute, and from 43-45+2, I thought were were ok, not anywhere near great, but ok. The final 2 mins were as boring as I've seen in ages, and there goal wasnt bad play. I though Ryan could have covered Salisu's gap better for their goal, but that is about all.

I think we are still in this, and will be better this half. I think Ralph wanted to keep it tight, and other than a great play from DCL a great ball by Gylfi and a good finish, it has been.

 

We really need something like that rebound off Salisu to go in, just so I don’t feel like there are no living black cats in Southampton any longer.

 

I wish Redders would try running at a defence again. Could make a huge difference.

If there's one criticism I have of Ralph's tactics, it's that he rarely makes early subs. Would prefer that we didn't wait until the 60th minute (or later) when things aren't working.

You can't lever yourself by planting an arm in your opponents face. WTF is the commentator saying?

 

Guess he will need to actually bowl his head down the lane before the ref gives a foul

 

Prediction - Salisu is going to land one on DCL soon.
