    McCarthy
    Bednarek, Vestergaard, Salisu
    Djenepo, JWP, Armstrong, Bertrand
    Redmond, Ings, Tella

Change formation to try and stay solid for this one. We’re conceding too much at the moment, and with no KWP or Romeu we’ll be even more exposed if we play our normal 4-4-2. Also wouldn’t be keen on seeing Richarlison up against Bednarek at right back.

Tella looked a threat against Leeds and I’d like to see him play again. Jankewitz could perhaps play in the centre but it would be a risk given Everton’s form/quality and his experience.

I don’t get the criticism of Che, other than it underlines that so many fans work off stats. I thought he was very good first half and has played well in most games. I also think Ralph “rested” him when he was benched as he had been working his nuts off.

I like him more every time I watch him and it isn’t just those luscious thighs.

Clearly a couple of goals would be great.

    Agreed.

He is like a better Shane Long, without that Anfield moment....yet.

Turned out that she's got a new tea strainer, as the old one kept letting the tea leaves through. Sounds familiar!

I think he's a very good player who has a big impact on how we play. Not yet convinced he's a natural goal scorer at this level tbh, though there's still obviously time for that to improve.

I don't think that's an issue as such in itself, but it means we need another goal scorer (or more provided from midfield) as we're far too reliant on Ings.

Yep and some consistency with Ings would be good for them both. They had a potent partnership as both are more than simple strikers. Both got vision, both willing to play the other in, both can hold it up or take people on. Makes them tough to play against. Presume there are reasons but I really want to see redmond moved out of that striker role.

I`d play Adams every time - his problem though is that his left foot is for standing on, and defenders know that. Something I`m sure he`s working on.

Ralph must be feeling the pressure on the back of this poor run and that particular thrashing. He is only human and must be left with some doubts.

It's a shame fans are not in the ground as the huge vocal support (that I'm sure he will get from the vast majority of supporters) would be a massive confidence boost which is what he and the players could really do with right now.

    Hmmmm ..... not so sure .... :emoticon-0114-dull:
There would be a massive roar of support when the team came out, but the minute something went wrong or someone missed a pass, those idiots who sit around where I used to sit would be straight on the players backs and would probably boo at the end ...... the reason (plus poor refereeing and bloody VAR) why I won’t be renewing my season ticket. Sorry guys - I still love Saints and will support them through thick and thin, but I can’t stand these so-called “supporters” :emoticon-0121-angry

This pretty much sums up my experience of the last few seasons too.

It think I would give Adams and Ings another go up front rather than Redmond.

Well Ramsay has just signed a two year extension. I wonder if he'll get a chance?

Think I'd rather see him start than a player out of position again.

It's got to be worth a try. All games are now getting point critical so 'saving' him for lower crunch matches is not an option as long as Ralph thinks he can offer something to the team which it hasn't got already. Clearly we do have a problem with the RB situation and the set up at Leeds crumbled once they breached us the first time.

If we were to stick with a back four, I wonder if that lends itself to Stephens maybe filling in for Romeu?

With three CBs, having such a defensive shield in front of them is less important - hence why I suggested Armstrong to partner JWP. But a normal back four, I would expect to see us get really exposed with Armstrong in front. So maybe Stephens instead?
