Of all the positions we thought we needed to cover in the Jan transfer window, CBs were not thought necessary.

I thought keeper, but despite the poor rating by RR yesterday (did okay by me, not at fault for the goals) Burge has been better than I reckoned.

LB is a problem Mcfadzean is hopeless and Vokins has not impressed yet. Jones is the only one atm showing well, Winchester if he had scored with the last minute header, yesterday would be a plus. We shall see how he plays now Leads is out for a while. We gave a new striker who has been crocked since he got here.

McGeady looked knackered yesterday so I’d start Jones instead, toss up between Diamond and Maguire over Gooch.

Gooch hasn’t been too bad but his decision making is horrendous at times. The lad really needs to learn to lift his head up and look around rather than try and beat the whole defence.

    Good shout
    definitely go with 433
Power Scowen and Onein were outstanding first half against Doncaster
Also think our defence was caught a bit short yesterday so giving Onein a break I think would help
Can't make my mind up about the front three
Jones I think has earned a start not 100% sure about Maguire but we have lots of options so would be happy to give him a start

It's slightly easier now that you can make 5 changes and have a good bench ...

... Maguire seems to lose his edge whenever he starts a game imo.

Maguire, when he is good, he is very very good, but when he is bad, he's horrid.

His problem for me is consistentcy. He can be the best or worst player on the pitch...that is why he is a 3rd division player. If he was consistent he would be in a higher league. Certainly when he came on yesterday he scored a great goal (just watched earlier a Fulham player miss a similar chance, when he put it wide of the goal). He also took some great free kicks.

True he blows very hot and cold. When he’s good he’s very good when he’s bad he’s like being a man down Pity we can’t combine his skill with O’Brien’s work rate
