After some very poor individual performances yesterday and some superb substitute performances I hope he goes with

    .......................... Burge..........................

    McLaughlin..Onien.. Sanderson.. Vokins

    .................. Power............. Scowen.......

    Mcgeady...............maguire......... Jones

    ............................ Wyke.........................

    Subs
    Matthews
    Younger
    Diamond
    Gooch
    O'Brien
    Winchester
    Neil

Hopefully the likes of Wright, Flanagan, Stewart will be back in a week or 2 and we can move onien into midfield

Its only a few weeks ago we were slating Mcguire and Vokins. I will go with whoever LJ chooses knowing we have the options on the bench to change it if necessary.

I am more concerned they are not 100% committed (risking an injury) and thinking about their Wembley appearance.

I would probably put power at right back and switch McLaughlin over to the left birth, bring in Winchester to do the role of leadbetter as he looked ok when he’s came on the last couple of games. Not overly impressed with vokins but I suppose he needs to get a run in the team as macfadzean frightens me to death and it’s putting round pegs into round holes. Whatever way Johnson goes I’ll not argue as he seems to realise quickly when things are not working and changes them.

Didn’t Johnson say that Wright is struggling to make the cup final.

Vokins is poor in the games so far but he's like cafu compared to mcfadzen. Maguire deserves a start after his cameo yesterday

I think McGuire and Jones should start ahead of gooch and mcgeady. I know mcgeady has been our best player but he looked lethargic yesterday and may need a rest, It’s an ideal game for to give him some

When is Mcfadzean's contract up? Surely there's young uns better than him in the reserves.

    I’m going 4 3 3
    Burge
    McL Younger Sanderson Vokins
    Power Scowen 09
    Maguire Wyke Jones

Geads sub obviously but would benefit from less minutes for the second game of the week. O9 found out a bit yesterday for the key goals but would add to our goal threat in midfield. I like Gooch but he was off form yesterday. Winchester unlucky because he’s improving and only went Maguire because when he scores and his enthusiasm levels are high he can go on a run.

Have to admit that Maguire has looked interested in the last couple of games - may be worth a start along with Jones

Maguire has hardly had any game time since Johnson arrived but I think that might change now. We had too many having an off day yesterday.
Hopefully LJ learnt a lot from that first half non-performance, we have plenty of competition for places so there is no room for slackers. If they can't be arsed to run, give them a rest.

I'd go with this team. Get a proper CH in there with Sanderson. I think he will go with Winchester in place of Scowen though.

We have had a few over the years, Gareth Hall and Greg Halford spring to mind.

I would go 3 back to be honest. 09 doesn't look solid enough as a 2. Go with 3 and allow Vokins and another to play as very attacking wingbacks.

So would I, it's a bit of a liberty to expect a polished performance from O'Nien as one of only two CBs especially with a piss poor LB next to him. Three at the back and Vokins at LB for me.
