Boro finding it hard to score for a while, get a second and use all the subs. Give our players a rest. The front three lock half a yard slow.
Terrible game. City had no intention it seemed other than 0-0 or 0-1. Just heading and hoofing it wherever. Not good to watch. Tuesday & Friday next week; City cannot play as negatively as they did today.
We looked tired in the first half. Laudable to start a winning side again, but it was so obvious that we needed fresh legs and minds. I can understand Mick not wanting to disrupt things too much, but there were players out there dragging themselves around. If we'd press higher with pace off the bench, they wouldn't have had the time to pick and choose their passes - sorry, but we let them off the hook.
No need to apologise. That was a wasted game. 1 up, needed to start the 2nd half all guns blazing to try to kill the game. The equaliser was a joke though from a fluky goal kick and comedy defending. Anybody concerned how MM will approach 2 games in 4 days next week?
He needs a bit of a rethink. Assuming no one injured he has scope to make changes. I thought Ojo would have done more but he was a headless chicken today.
Mick overplayed his hand today. Maybe difficult morally to change a winning side, but that's what management is about. Hope the relative failure today bursts the "same again" bubble.
Problem was that too many on the bench were coming from injury. We could have taken Moore off and changed the way we play.
Last time more came off, Harris went on and got in behind them. We havent got anyone on the bench to hold the ball up but for the last 20 mins Moore cant as he's fooked. Better to have him for 70 mins then change style than break him and not have him for the rest of the season.
He’s indispensable. Reminds me of how reliant we were on the last decent goal scoring CF we had, Bothroyd. We know how badly that ended Somehow MM has to nurse him through to the end of the campaign but he won’t get a rest during international week
Hate to refer to post @14:13 but we definitely needed rotation for this one. Hope Mick gives some a rest for Tuesday
