Confirmation that Raphinha and Harrison are our best wingers.

    Llorente is class.

    Costa is ****.

    Roberts is **** and racist.

Klich cannot play for any team in the world - been inept since Bielsa said he could.

Well that was awful from every angle. Villa are a horrible team who are more interested in the "dark arts" of football rather than entertaining football. Its almost like their coaching set up are horrible people.

Leeds though tonight were not good enough to get round this. In great parts the players looked like they had never met with silly passes. Ball into the box were poor and I could have played in goal for Villa tonight.

Going back to Villa being a horrible team. The Llorente incident comes to mind. Yes he should rightly be condemned for his play acting but Villa are the ultimate exponents of that type of play. Traore did a similar thing just before but did it just that bit cleverly.

Taggert should have been sent off twice and the ref was useless.

Right, im off for the weekly zoom quiz where I am going to be an absolute delight to be around,.

We weren't really at it tonight but no need to throw the baby out as well.

Very few positives to be honest...main one being Llorente, a classy player and showed decent pace a couple of times.

Would have liked to see Cooper push out a touch further for the goal as he was half a yard behind the rest. Not saying it was his fault but it would have been offside if he'd stepped up. Costa has obviously been coached to push out but he should have been aware that Coops was a bit deeper and stayed closer to his man.

Probably for the best we lose games like this to be honest, even though it totally sucks....next season we'll be better <ok>

Meslier - 7. Didn't have a lot to do but dealt with it comfortably. Could he have come out quicker for the goal? Had more of an impact up front than our striker. Distribution was good.

Ayling - 6. Did some good stuff. Did some bad stuff. Delivery needs work.

Cooper - 6. Largely did OK. Marginally out of position for the goal.

Llorente - 7. The rolling around was embarrassing. Rest of the performance was very promising.

Dallas - 7. One of our better players on the night. Mr Consistent and probably the first name on the team sheet.

Struijk - 6. Unfortunate to come off. Did OK in a position that isn't really suited to him.

Klich - 6. Clearly not fit. Struggled to sprint but made some great runs to make space for others. I liked his booking, it needed doing.

Roberts - 5. First touch let him down. Shooting let him down. Gave the ball away. Always wanting that extra touch which is a sign of a player out of his depth. Looks like he needs to shed a bit of weight. Had chances to really push his claim but failed to do so.....again.

Costa - 5. Tried to impact the game. Ran his socks off but switched off for a split second and cost us a goal.

Raphinha - 6. Almost tried too hard. Looked the most likely to get us back in it but fell in to the same trap as others...always wanted another touch or pass. Overplayed it too often.

Bamford - 4. Really poor. 2nd touch is a tackle. Villa's defence dominated him physically and he had no answer. Too slow making his runs. It's almost a refusal to attack the ball on crosses now.

    Subs.

Alioski - 5. Sloppy. Never got in to the game and gave possession away.

Harrison - 7. Thought he gave us fresh impetus and put in a couple of belting crosses.

Hernandez - 6. Worked cleverly between the lines and was neat and tidy. Played some nice balls out wide but delivery let us down. Should have scored after a heavy touch. Lacked match sharpness.

I thought we deserved something out of the game but it was very much something we were used to in the Championship where we just lacked a bit of quality in the final third. We can't rely on Rapha every game. Others need to do it occasionally. Genuinely don't know why the rugby tackle on Bamford wasn't a penalty.

Wholly agree. As for the Llorente incident, I watched it again to see what all the fuss was about. It wasn't just the tackle, it was the hard kick with the following foot that did the damage, after the initial dirty contact.. Then there was the 'grabbed' lift, where Llorente was hauled up, putting his full weight onto one shoulder. 3 yellows in one. Add the other 3 yellows he should have got elsewhere to that & you see what a disgrace the officials were, and that cnut Targett too.

Don't know if anyone noticed how many times our players were literally shoved out of the way with 2 hands when they went for a header, or barged off the ball with no whistle blown. Then you get the likes of Klick putting in a perfectly good shoulder charge & the whistle was almost blown before contact was made.

Call me picky, but what exactly did Roberts do to earn a 5? I can't think of anything positive that would have taken him from 0 to 1, far less 5. I'd rather play the kit man than him. (Well past) time to go .....

Sorry WJ but for me, you’re doing the very same thing that you say others are doing in respect to Cooper. You don’t like Costa. It can be looked in two ways, Costa is a lazy **** for not tracking the run. Cooper is a lazy **** for not moving up in tandem with the rest of the defence. Or, neither anticipated a slip and it really fortunately fell to their forward. I’m ready to be shot down in flames on this but it won’t change my mind. Similar thing happened to Bamford but unfortunately it bounced up over Raphinia’s leg.

I honestly think Raphinha will want to move on at the end of the season. He must look at some of those making the starting 11 and wonder how..

Can't agree on Roberts I'm afraid WJ.

If he scores his chance then he's had a decent game, all the first half he was finding pockets of space and getting on the ball....plenty of others who were of a similar or worse standard tonight.

Don't be sorry - you can't be right every time! ;-)

I actually do like Helder Costa. Unfortunately, more often than not it's Hilda that turns up instead. Like tonight.

The goalscorer was Costa's man, not Coopers, and he failed to prevent the goal through sheer negligence. Please don't make excuses for him, it's embarrassing. He's a professional footballer in a team famed for 1-1 marking. Only he didn't mark anyone. <doh>

Blame the **** pitch we've been mugged on, if he hadn't slipped the shot would have gone nowhere. but he did take it down well to take his goal...we weren't at the races today simple...the substitutions need a shake up in respect of stop using the same ones all the time, give geldhart a run it's pointless being kept on his backside every time he's been on the bench.
