It's a shocker so far but England have been absolutely dire in theres of discipline and are utterly incapable of any creativity with the ball

Second half has been England asleep for england giving the ball back by kicking or by indiscipline.

Wales meh bright and alive early.in half but are really just looking for the pens and kicking them now.

They should be looking for 4th try here

    Obstruction.

Wales win triple crown of a 3rd really poor pen to give away having even yet another cheap on in the Welsh 22 1 min before.

9point lead but will they go for the bonus point now??

This is big now for 6 nations. Wales need this.

Wales have just won this triple crowd of a stupid red card by Ireland. Another red card v Scotland and england coughing up penalty after penalty for nothing.

5points clear of France now as a result of this.

Wales should be sacking this coach. How the **** they have ended up with a triple crown I don't know.

    Absolutely desperate from england

Just listening to all the commentary this morning.

A lot is focused on wales being gifted two tries but at least a few are commenting on England's disastrous discipline

Maybe England should sort out their constant infringing and stop picking players who keep giving penalties away?
Wales did nothing wrong here. First try was quick thinking, second an interesting interpretation of the rules but the ref is the ref. What should Wales do? Oh we think you got it wrong ref we won't accept the points.?

No, wales did nothing wrong at all. That is absolutely fair. They just waited for england th stuff up. Well, when i say that they let their initial lead slip to 24-24 but then england absolutely stuffed it up royally. I think its quite a poor bit of reffing myself. He can see whats happeening and its not his job to favour one side just cos they ask. He did give england an intruction to "discuss" the fact they actually did was the shocking thing lol. thats down to the ref and imo right now every international cpatin to rufuse to talk to players quoting wales v england ref, we will discuss on our ball.

the second try imo was well dodgy.

Actually the only iissue i think was your no 8 not touching down that obvious knock on opportuntiy as this ref and 4th offical could do anything.

If you read above I was laughing at how bad england's discipline actually was and questioning why theres not more critisim of the stupidity. Itoje is undroppable but in reality 5 pens deserves a good slap.

However most pens were just stupid. coming in from the side, both sides done for blocking off, just silly stuff. there just want't that much pressure on england ball from wales to cough those up and the sad thing is the one single time egnald forgot their had to kick and batter up the middle they ran in a decent try.

As i said wales have just been handed the luckiest triple crown ever. Ireland on top despite 14 men for 60 odd mins and just ran out of stream. Scotland red card and now england absolute debacle of indisipline. 24-24 and a clear path to victory and england gave it away with penalty after penalty up to the kicking zone and wales bascially won the game with 3 kicks.

Well, Ireland and Scotland each had a man sent off for serious foul play so I make no apologies for winning in those circumstances. Scotland are still disputing the card I believe.

But yes you are right. England got back to 24-24 and then imploded. Wales didn't actually have to do much apart from avoid giving penalties and keep their heads. The exact opposite of what England did.
It was funny, at one stage Nigel Owens on Welsh tv was almost rubbing his hands with glee in the 2nd half when England subbed one of their forwards. He said of the replacement "he's always liable to give away a penalty or two". Sure enough, within 5 minutes he did and Wales had 3 more points. He knew the players. Does Eddie Jones?

True on reds but you have to then admit you were second best for 60odd mins v Ireland and that red was the reason why you won.

It's amazing how Jones for example gave 2 pens in 30seconds laughed and went back into the line then never gave anything again. He did so to stop england scoring.

England seem to have an inability to even try to abide by the rules. When they were on the attack they gave away loads of pens while wales sat patiently.just trying to stop them on the gain line and doing enough at the ruck to encourage the mistake.

Englands last try had everyone shocked as I'm sure wales expected more bashing.

If you come in from the right side, leave when the ref says so and just wait some england player will go off his feet, come in wrongly or just plain get some for being isolated.

Eddie jones is what he is and his players follow the tune.

I was watching ireland Italy before it and it was poor fare but the Italians had a lad in the bin after 2mins on the pitch and were down to 13 for stupidity and the Irish were nearly as bad.

I reckon england will hammer ireland as Andy Farrell is another classic don't care about discipline type. Ireland will give up as many pens as england.

Wales have struggled to beat Ireland in recent years and I agree would probably have lost without the red card.

That's just smart professional rugby by AWJ. Recognised quickly what the ref was penalising and modified his game. Something the England players or their coaches watching on never did. Rugby is a simple game made complex by too many rules so the refs have to have some they concentrate on more.

England looked dangerous with ball in hand but they killed their momentum with the penalties they gave away.

Ireland v England depends on where it is played even without the crowds. Pressure off it could lead to a good high scoring game.

Yup, the lack of playing the ref was shocking. They can't have played a blinds bit of attention to the rule clarifications nor who the ref was in preparation but to not adjust and play the ref, it one especially was criminal.

The rules around scrum and the ruck and then mall are basic enough. Its all about presenting the things that are looked for but England did the opposite

It wasn't just the ludicrous tries. Wales were given several penalties which should never have been given. Ref was a frog, Says it all really <grr>

he was consistent though. people were wanred on things happening before the break and the same rules applied elsewhere.

For example people ahead of a kicker just taking off on the chase were yelled at to stop as peoepl were getting away with being offisde and right up in a line to prvent any counter attacks.

Then there was the obvious cutting off at the mall where england got dinged.

I didn't see too many pens wales got that were harsh. a lot of stupidity. Off the feet, in from the side etc etc.

scrums are a lottery these days thugh and its how's elbow hits the ground first almost.

There was a tackle deemed 'dangerous' where the taffy was tackled around the chest - NOT his neck.
