In one petulant act, he undid all of the excellent work he had done prior to the penalty. He should have stayed on and caused more havoc, and scored more goals, because they were there for the taking today, by more than 3.
Digressing, but when you talk about disgraceful refereeing have a look at Wales first try against England.
Grant McCann @hullcity tells @HumbersideSport the Wilks penalty drama is already behind them . I think he said "they're hugging and kissing in the dressing room".
That's good to hear ..... but I'd hope that behind closed doors McCan't has stamped his authority. What happened there was just plain wrong. I wonder if he did?
The issue here is disobedience. If one player decides he doesn't accept the decisions made and ignores them, it sets a bad precedent, undermines the captain and the manager, and sets a bad example to the younger players. There is a massive question mark against this squad;'s character and mental strength, Stuff like this does nothing to reassure the supporters that there is a unity and a common purpose.
Actually winners generally are twats. That doesn’t change a thing. He has an attitude on the field and I prefer that to someone doing just for the money like we have seen in the past.
Going by the logic of one poster if an England player wins a penalty then he, and not Farrell, should take the kick.
to someone doing just for the money like we have seen in the past.[/QUOTE] Someone ought to tell the petulant twat that isn’t how you spell ‘apologies’ We’ve got grammatical standards to uphold.
Got to be happy with the three points today. The Wilks thing will be sorted in the dressing room or training ground. We all do daft things even footballers. Keeps the pressure up on the leaders. We must take it one game at a time now and try to win each one. Nothing else will do.
