Just didn't get going at all and just bloody typical...probably keeps brum manager in a job which might be a consolation and couple of players had a rest...not an excuse but you couldn't play football on that hackney marshes of a pitch...poor performance
Terrible result - brought down to their level when we should have played our game - dreadful miss from Johansen and wrong subs
That's what I was saying earlier. We've constantly been making blind passes forward today. Which is in strange contrast to how we refuse to clear the ball earlier in the season.
A draw and a loss now, we just need to be careful we don't do one of our famous dramatic lurches from top of the form guide to the bottom. That said, **** game but no way we should have lost that.
That's a shame as we seemed comfortable at 1 up and creating chances....Jojo miss comes back to haunt us........ Ominously Barnsley have won 5 on the spin going into midweek game......
Football is weird-We beat all the teams at the top, have the second best results out of all teams in all divisions, only man city better, then get 1 point against two teams who have shocking home form.
So frustrating...I know its the trick of football management, but how did we go from the standard of football we all enjoyed a few weeks ago, to what we saw today? Is it just down to exhaustion? Surely that'd work the same for every team...I just don't get it.
Strange game, they were clearly best 1st half but we went in at HT 1 up. 2nd was more even, but after we started to get on top they score twice.
Except that, business as usual, for a long time was relegation form. The run we put together has hopefully saved us from a relegation battle. People talking about the play offs was ridiculous imo.
Disappointing but Kane was pretty good. Barbet needs a rest, too many misplaced passes. I thought Dykes added something. Not sure about Bonne though, he had an invisible first half.
Draw against Preston away (dodgy ground for us in pretty bad weather) and a defeat against Birmingham. Ah well, back to start another unbeaten run..this time agaisnt Barnsley (and we owe them a butt kicking). Before Christmas we couldnt buy a win, and the last few weeks of wins have probably exceeded alot of expectation. We follow the R's because they are a coupon buster!! We probably have a few tired players out there - we are playing every 3 to 4 games and away travel will affect the team. Players rested today because they need a break and maybe they come back on Wednesday refreshed. Yep I am disappointed to lose, the last few weekend after wins have felt pretty dam good, but something new always starts after things finish. Before Xmas, lots were saying time to change manager and now we wont make the play-offs....they were a dream - something we could possibly scrape into but not a guarantee I would expect to see that again but I believe MW has started, especially with the Jan signings of constructing a useful team of experience and youth that can only start to climb the table. Finally, one thing a Rangers fan should know is: if striker is on a barren run, he breaks it against us, a side that cannot win at home breaks it against us... Seven away games unbeaten until now......we are a much improved side even though we lost today.
