Why would a 24 (?) year old proffessional footballer not manage 90 minutes?

I don't know, could be a few reasons, but I can't remember Willock or Albert doing more than 70 minutes in one game for us yet. Willock was visibly blowing after less. But possibly and hopefully they are fitter now.

I would prefer to see rested players on the bench - still part of the playing squad and ready for a 20 minute contribution if required.
To quote MW these are still athletes. So unless they are on the cusp of injury, they still should/would want to be in the game even if rested and still contributing as a sub. Best of both worlds I would have thought - and still able to impact the game.

Looking for us to bounce back to a 3-pointer today.

The player that really looks like he has needed a rest for a while to me is Chair, but not sure if his obvious replacement Willock can play long enough, which maybe why Chair hasn't been given a break yet. Hope Willock can manage 70 minutes or so. Chair will probably come back sharper for a rest.

I'd like to see Albert get more time too, scored a great strikers goal a few games back and barely seen him since. Would like him to get some time on the park with Austin, would probably have to be in place of Dykes as I cant see him lasting long enough at RWB.

I saw an interview with Waarbs where he said that all his players were still giving everything....but in a couple the intensity had gone off. The player was still running in excess of 11.5 km and more than any other player , but the intensity of the runs had decreased and he was due a rest. I think he was talking about Chair

Birmingham are by far the most likeable of the four big-ish West Mids clubs. Hope they stay up only because they’re so permanently dreadful it’s a team we can finish above next season.

They are absolute ****e though and a team we should be on the front foot for. Would like to see my dream back three of Barbet-Dickie-Kakay get a chance to allow us to play slightly higher but doubt that’ll happen.

Yellow for Willock after he pulled a shirt near the half way line...they were moving forward but hardly in a dangerous position.
