Jesus Christ, what a total shambles this program is now.

I live in Newcastle so don't listen often, but with this NP situation I thought I may tune in on-line to see if there is any real cutting edge journalism in place explaining what's going on. What I've been left with is the complete spastic Gollum Lloyd highlighting and revelling in his ignorance about all things Hull City and football in general, alongside the uncharismatic Matt Dean. Burnsie isn't great by any stretch of the imagination but at least he has a focus about what he is doing half the time (when not talking to Swanny about who he had a bet on, and what the pub was like he went to pre-match). How did we get to the point that our tax payers money went to lining these charlatans coffers?

i quite like him , but then i listen to Sportstalk for entertainment and not for complete factual and agreeable statements.
Its the other one that bugs me , the one who just tries to be a clever dick - is it matt dean ?

Quite simply Gollum is an embarrassment - listened to last night show - it was pitiful.

I texted RH last night to say that the radio station must take some responsibility for the attack by a so called minority of City supporters on NP when in reality they are IMHO merely mischievous texters from the egg chasing community (that are jealous of the Club in this city) or armchair supporters of PL Clubs.

Needless to say it wasn't read out.

    How Electrifying!!!!!

I dont mind sports talk but the sports production as a whole on Blunderside has not been the same since Burnsie left as sports editor

It's a disgrace. Gollum invites callers then completely talks over them, makes his own point and then says "eh Burnsie?". I cringe every time he's on.

Listened to SportsTalk last night for the first time in ages...Geez I wish I hadn't. Gollum Lloyd just encapsulates everything that is bad about local radio .The man is an arse of the highest order. Closely followed by Peter (knows nothing) Swann, then Matt (what do you think Tigers fans?) Dean and the bloke who works on a weekend, Christian Reed or something, whose charisma and presentation style are as dull as ditchwater. Truly awful..

I have to say I enjoyed Burnsey & Swanny's chat with Tom Huddlestone last night, brought back a lot of great memories. Amazingly, he still hasn't managed to find a club as yet.

Jarrod Bowen on next week, so that could also be a good listen.

    Good thread re-purposing.

Suspect TH wants more money than clubs want to pay him, like other players we have seen in recent years.

Not sure what level of football he thinks he's now at . Seemed to be a fringe player at Derby.

So is he League 1 ? Is he suited to the kick and rush of this league, and who would pay his wages?

Tom had the best touch of any central midfield player for Hull city since billy bremner. Great player who never lived up to his potential.
He will have been touted around by his agent. And there’s no takers. If he wants to play and is genuine he could get a club tomorrow, why hasnt he? Money.
I’m sure Jimmy floyd would have him at Burton and it’s just round the corner from him.
It would be worth getting him down here but again he’ll want too much money.

Strange things are footballers, i guess he has made a bit of money over time, for me it would a nice gesture to go back to one of his earlier clubs in order to give something back.

Gollum revels in his egg chasing preferences. He takes every opportunity to turn a football conversation into rugby one regardless. Loves the sound of his own voice, doesn't listen and has so little knowledge of sport, it makes you wonder how he got his job, other than having a face for radio.
Turn off as soon as he opens his mouth.
I used to enjoy RH, getting snippets of City news, listening to genuine supporters views.... No more.

I doubt it's just about the money with Huddlestone, he's got plenty already, it seems he wants his next gig to also be a route into coaching.
