Well I only know the odd person that's had it and got over it like a dose of flu, apart from those on here that have had it worse, like yourself.
I don't particularly have a problem with the vaccines available although it's still very early days to know the impact or the affects.
Like I've said above, I'm happy to take my own chances, I believe the risk to me is minimal and I have a far far greater risk of developing cancer which in my opinion is 1000 times more likely to kill me than Covid....
By the way.....how do we know, that these vaccines, full on antibiotics etc aren't a contributor to forms of cancers?? Sort of thing we won't know about for years to come..
I honestly prefer to let nature take it's course!!

I've had COVID back in October - it's nasty and would not wish it on anyone - can see how it takes people

I've had my first jab 3 weeks ago (I work for NHS)

I would advise anyone to get the vaccine

Fair enough mate but the entire argument is based on this, which is categorically wrong.

Yeah I get that you don't believe the numbers - but everyone here knows someone that has had it. Plenty here have had it themselves. I know 2 people (not close to me thankfully) that have died from it. Surely that tells you something?

    We have the same argument..
I know many people that have had and died of other illnesses, far more than Covid....that tells me something too..
Sorry mate, but you're wasting your time with me on this one..Many on here see it as black and white... I don't believe the numbers, I don't believe the scaremongering. I'm sceptical regarding the vaccines & lockdowns....
I'm really happy with my own decision making, I don't need anyone lecturing me what is right, wrong, true or false.....not on here, certainly not from the media or any government in power..
There is more, to how the world around us is changing, political, financial and power, just through this so say pandemic.....eyes still wide open, where and how it's taking us...
Give up on me mate.............I would!!!

When you say you don't believe the scaremongering, that's really quite frustrating when people here have been affected by it. For you to say you don't believe it is almost to say that they're talking nonsense. But on the last bit, yep absolutely, you're free to your choice of course, fair enough :emoticon-0148-yes:.

Not meaning to be frustrating mate, I understand those that have been through it, I know quite a few people (many more than from Covid) that's been affected & died from cancer, heart disease, pneumonia, sepsis & effects from COPD. no scaremongering towards those illnesses through the media, the mass that believe them or anywhere else for that matter...

Had a call today, asking where am I. Told them I’ve not been booked in, so they said if I come now I can be done today. I told her to warm the needle up I’m on my way.

Wish there was a different button to click rather than like.
I have not had it, but as I said on here attended 2 funerals (online) with friends dying from it. One turned 50 whilst in a coma and the other 52. One was a manual worker and also a kids rugby coach and played when possible. The other was an keen nature photographer and had dogs that were in crufts, so out walking them for miles a day as well as going out walking to take his photographs. So both were not unfit people. All I know is one of them had mild asthma when a child but was not on daily inhalers and very rarely used it. The other had a damaged shoulder so no real underlying illnesses there.
As you’ve pointed out, you thought you were fit and a good immune system so it shows it does not work that way. Maybe Onefor might get his head out of his arse (ostrich) and get his vaccine done soon.
Hopefully you get back to your normal self sooner rather than later.

well at the end of the day in every vaccination centre more than 1 or 2 jabs are wasted … so thinking that way is a misnomer .. they do not put the unused "drops" back in the fridge till tomorrow or next session … my wife and another member of staff had their jabs a week early because after using the quantity they had designated for the home .. residents there 2 or 3 jabs left in the phial … right place right time only 1 got wasted … so not really thoughtful! your jab was probably wasted ….. at the centre you were assigned to ……:emoticon-0149-no:

No because I wasn't due for it, it was the end of a session and the practice rang around to finish the batch off, I could have had it but told them to give it to the next person in line..which they did...Nothing wasted and so yes I was very thoughtful.. Next?

This is why I feel soooo lucky in that I have not had to undergo anything other than covid, proper flu (x2), mumps, a real migraine, colds and various sporting injuries!

We found out through an antibody test that my wife has had covid; she is immune suppressed and shielding, yet any sypmtoms she may have had were extremely light. After it all, she told me that she was really concerned about me as she has never seen me so ill.

One lady that I do some gardening for is 73, clinically obese, diabetic and now has dementia. I know for a fact that she has only been out of her house twice in the last 15 months and she caught covid from one of her day carers. Apparently the only symptoms she had was that she was a bit grumpy!!

In some ways I simpathise with/understand 1for, but I honestly hope he doesn't get it.
