At the same time he has a way he wants his team to play and believes this is the best way for those players, or this is the best way he can enjoy his team which then keeps them motivated.

imagine going to work and having to do your work in a style you absolutely hate, your motivation will no doubt disappear.

also you look at his style and maybe he believes in order to get a big job he has to keep this style.

how many of the managers down the bottom playing safe football land a top job? Hughes, pullis, fat Sam, hodgson, pardew, Bruce.... how many get given a top job? None of them and it’s because they don’t play in a way that suits the best teams.

potter definitely plays a style that would suit the bigger teams and he’s more likely to get a job at a big club based on his style. Now obviously results matter, finish bottom playing nice football doesn’t get you a top job, but taking a team expected to finish 15-18th in the league and get them say 10th playing nice football will do far more for your own CV.

look at Rodgers at Swansea to Liverpool. Even Martinez, Wigan to Everton to Belgium.

5 games has been mentioned by some but I don't think that's based on anything official.

I believe he has an adductor tendon injury 1-2 months minimum, more like 3 if it’s a bad one

We may not see him again this season.

I hope the tea lady is in good shape for the CL final.

100%. The minute i saw it i could tell he was done. He went down like being shot/stabbed so it had to be a severe tear.

Watching Suarez for Athletico tonight, he looks as sharp as ever. We could do with him now

Yeah, adductor is 6 weeks minimum, which would be mid April at best before he even started training. If hes torn it off the bone that's 3 months and an op. Be really lucky to see him kick a ball again this season. Expect Thiago or Milner at CB sometime soon. Or Bobby.

At least Firmino would keep the ball out of the goal

Don’t think any of the British sides should be worried about any of the teams that are left I. The competition
Can see a perm side winning it comfortably

Its a lot stronger than some years

ajax (again weakened, we easily enough dealt with them)
Villarreal (just a solid top half side in spain)
AC milan (top of the table in
Slavia prague are a decent side.
roma - half decent team still

The QF draw will decided a lot.

who knows. It'll be a long and tiring contest for whoever makes it.

Hoepfully the QF and SF line ups will be competitive. the eastern europea sides could surprise us and get through.

    Ajax
    Villarreal
    Roma
    Arsenal
    Spurs
    Utd/AC milan
Prague (sorry rangers but your time is up)
    *makewieghts

Anyhting could happen from there if englsih sides draw each otehr for example.

Yes utd v ac milan is the zlatan effect tie i suppose. Really utd ought to beat the,.

the big 3 countries england italy and spain along with the european perennials of ajax.

yep. Inter won 3-0 with Lukaku scoring one of the goals. I remember because the press had big headlines about Lukaku celebrating getting one over Zlatan Ibrahimovic as the king of Milan.
