Actually, a Leeds fan on Twitter said people should stop saying we’re sending out a championship squad / players as it’s really disrespectful. They won the division by 10 points and are currently 10th in the league so deserve to be called premier league players. She’s probably being a bit pedantic because I think we mean we’re doing this with predominately the same players that played in the championship but maybe she has a point.

2 points presumably and hopefully a little furry mufty.

Unless she's transgender and then it's 3 points...

But as long as you get my point, that's the main thing <laugh>

Not putting a number on it - I'm waiting until it's mathematically impossible for us to go down. A bit of me is also expecting a -15 for sneezing without a mask or something equally as far fetched. Presently, Fulham can get 61 points if they win all of their games. They won't, but you can surely understand my caution with our past history.

Working with Neil’s blueprint Leeds are on for another 45 pounts meaning 80 points this season as long as we don't get silly and drop the odd point. Think 80 points will do quite well <laugh>

If i had a wish i would like three london clubs Fulham, Palace & Arsenal, that would do nicely to be relegated, that would equate to nine extra points for us next season :)

We've 2 more attempts this season to put that curse to bed...West Ham quickly followed by Fulham.

Ok we'll probably lose them both, but at least that's the misery over until it all starts again next season. If I was in charge I'd try something different to break the hoodoo...anything, like travel down the day of the game or get pissed the night before...surely something would work <laugh>

So many pundits gobbing off about our style and lack of defending yet Alan Shearer gets it so maybe a bit more research needed by the rest?

Shearer's full Team of the Week: Jordan Pickford (Everton), Joao Cancelo (Manchester City), Craig Dawson (West Ham), Michael Keane (Everton), Ben Godfrey (Everton), Declan Rice (West Ham), Thomas Soucek (West Ham), Raphinha (Leeds), Jesse Lingard (West Ham), Bamford (Leeds) and Harvey Barnes (Leicester City).

    Meslier breaks Premier League record

Illan Meslier's clean sheet in Leeds' victory over Southampton has broken a 14-year Premier League record.

The French goalkeeper put in a fine performance for the Whites as they climbed back into the top half of the table on Tuesday. It was Meslier's eighth clean sheet of the season, which is some going when you consider Bielsa's attacking style of play.

    Wakey's right.

Says very clearly 'to' Feb 2020, not 'from' Feb 2020.

If you want people to believe your numbers, the last thing you do is put the wrong date on it! Simple, really. Mr Maguire doesn't appear to be the pedant numbers genius that he'd like to be.

Ah well, even the best of us make mistakes. I'm sure my time will come some day. <whistle>

When I first saw the table from Doc I thought hang on this is a year out, given the reference to February 2020, and yet I also realised that those values for our players would be nowhere near that amount.

So I went and looked at the original article (as opposed to someone's post on whatever social media they use), and it kind of makes sense, although I think their wording should have been better. ie instead of saying Change to Feb2020, it would have read better as Change compared to Feb 2020.

Full article below for anyone interested

Quote from article specifically relating to our club, regarding the valuations

    https://footballbenchmark.com/library/player_valuation_update_the_crippling_effects_of_covid

TLDR : Clubs promoted from the Championship last season, have increased the value of their squad ;)

Makes more sense now would like us to be worth that much but you only get what a buyer will pay. So if we sell any that could reflect in lower fees due to covid. See i can speculate too <laugh><laugh>:1980_boogie_down:
