SPIRIT OF HALE 13/2 Sedgefield 2:42
Only a pound higher than when taking this race last year and no surprise if the shrewd Jennie Candlish hasnt laid him out for this target for some time. Possible double on the cards for the yard today with OSCARS LEADER looking the likely winner of the last.

SPIRIT OF HALE 2nd so obviously trying but maybe that one pound was critical.

I've backed Grand Paradis and West Cork Wildway for the Martin Pipe today, 10s and 25s NRNB. They meet in the 3:50 a race that has given previous winners of the Martin Pipe in Blow By Blow and Champagne Classic.

Its a half brother to Glen Forsa to won his bumper for Mick Channon at the first time of asking. The dam was no great shakes but that doesnt always count for a lot and she is turning out to be a better broodmare than a racehorse. Shame on me but I have never heard of the trainer but none of the big yards have runners so it is a wide open contest.
It can have a fiver of my money based on your info and its pedigree :emoticon-0148-yes:

10s into 6s NRNB for Grand Paradis and able to cash out the latter for same stake money. Now just need the handicapper to be nice and let him in off 145 or lower.

First virtual bet for 2 weeks wins
Chepstow 15.27 Funambule Sivola (11/10 Lads, Coral) £400 win
Profit from the initial £1,000 now at £5,491.57

Still resisting pressure to bet real money

    Southwell 800
Wallys wisdom is a hit or miss character and has drifted like a barge out to 50s .
First time at southwell Jenkins has a good place record here and so does Costello .
Wallys is also better weighted than when ahead of the fav aria rose a while back.
    Small ew

There must be something in the water the past few days, James Bowen with a great piece of riding in the bumper at Chepstow. Winning with a broken reign, showed great balance and poise. Luckily for him, no hurdle had to be jumped.
