Poor display. If we had played like that in any of the last four wins we would have lost heavily. MW should have made four subs on the hour mark.
Now 11 off relegation...keeping the run going is positive...a wing back who goes 93 mins without one decent cross is not, wtf
I didn't think it was that awful, considering the poor conditions. Both sides had chances to win it. Not great either I admit and I'm happy to take a point home after that.
Clean sheet and a point from a ground we havent always had the best of luck at. Maybe there will be a formation change at the weekend to freshen things up. 5 games unbeaten......
The most entertaining part of that game was the way the commentators thought Kane was Trent Alexander-Arnold. **** me, what were they on about?
Take a point, another clean sheet....never easy up north of a Wednesday night in the pouring rain....... Onto Saturday to target 3 more points.....
I know secretly all fans would have looked at the table looked at our games in hand and thought play offs. Yes we need to keep winning, but my god Kane and Ball were absolutely atrocious 1st half, any manager worth their salt would have replaced them at half time. Cant keep fluking late wins with a starting 11 which isn't our best. God I hope MW makes changes for Birmingham
Only consolation is we'd have lost that game before Christmas, we're a lot more solid now. 0-0 right result for such a 'leggy' display. Hopefully we'll have a bit more about us at Brum but the sheer volume of games is not helping...
I think it’s telling that our recent form means we feel disappointed taking a point from a ground where we more often than not get nothing.
Would have happily taken a point before the game, but considering how poor PNE were, we could have had three points, but we never really looked likely to score tonight. The subs should have come on at half time just to change it up a bit. Onwards and upwards we go.
Not sure that wasn't our strongest starting 11. Kakay and Nico haven't looked particularly good, Field looked a bit dodgy tonight when he came on and Bonne looks no better than Dykes. Fatigue may cause a change however.
This game shows just how much we are improved. We looked tired, didn't play very well and didn't look like scoring, but we are all (mostly) aggrivated that we didn't win. I was surprised that we started the same eleven, surely, at least one of them needed a rest. A win on Saturday and we'll be right up there looking at the possibility of nicking sixth.
A game that lacked some quality in truth. Not one for the purist. Maybe the conditions played a part in that. Certainly had good enough chances to win the game, but admittedly so did they and I don’t think either team deserved to win the game really. Positives are that we didn’t lose, and defended set pieces very well actually, can tell they’ve got that organised. Dieng our MOM by a mile, always feels like it would take a special effort to beat him which is the sign of a great GK. Onwards to Saturday, win that and this result is another tick along on a good run.
There's no chance of the play offs imo, but at least now, being 11 points clear of the relegation zone, we can look upwards more than down.
We are playing not to lose as a 5-3-2 so we are hard to beat even if we play atrociously like much of tonight we have a chance of a point/3 points. Just ugly to watch
