You can get to **** mate. I've been using those programmes for my roaches. Anyhow, yeah I know I'm talking ****, but just this game this weekend reminds me when Kevin Davies and co rocked up at Goodison, not sure why. But we were a bit **** then, and a bit **** now. And I'm sure after 30 mins of the game starting, I'll be changing my mind
Let's make no mistake, we are in relegation form. Let's make no mistake, we are not getting relegated this year. Just like when we were top, we were never going to win the league, this bad run won't relegate us. We have the fixtures to do what we need but there are some concerning failings that we can't blame on any one else that we must get sorted out quickly.
I didn’t think bringing Moussa on was the right move, but I get why he did it. My point is, had we brought Jankowitz on, and it hadn’t worked, and we’d gone on to lose the same way, people would have bemoaned not making an attacking sub. It was the last sub he had to make too, and as we were losing, I guess he thought ‘as well to lose by two, but possibly get a draw’ regarding that final sub.
So you're kind of saying damned if you do and damned if you dont. Yeah I get that, just maybe doing what he did with Moussa, maybe we could have had more discipline with Armstrong at CM. Personally, I think Arstring is better at 19 than Moussa, but I know I give Moussa a hard time lately so maybe just me being bad on him. I seriously want him to do well, I just cant see it happening for him. So, on that basis, I'm calling it now, moussa to be the star in an attacking sense v Everton. And if not, well then bring Mo Ely back for next season...
Actually also on your last point, I think that was dangerous from Ralph, as I expect this has knocked our confidence more than losing 1-0, we just yet again turned to mush.
Whose decision was it to let Valery and Vokins go? Are we in such a dire financial state that the club had to let them go out on loan. Seems to me that Ralph is having to cope with a lot of negative factors, not enough strength on the bench, can't spend a lot of transfer money, pandemic its a perfect storm. Ralph isnt perfect we know that, but who is? Whats worrying is that we repeat the same pattern - excellent first half, and trail off in the 2nd.
Very competitive first half. Felt sorry for Adams. Understand why the goal was disallowed but it is hardly giving advantage to the attacker so disappointing. Once Leeds decided to exploit Bednarek at right back it went downhill. Hope that Romeu is OK. I think that we may have to play more compact like against Chelsea to stop conceding if Walker-Peters is not fit.
I agree with a lot of this but I think Vokins was probably never going to make it at this level. For me the problem isn't Ralph but a combination of the injuries and the fact that it has been impossible to keep up the intensity from last season's re-start and the almost continuous recommencement of this season. I expect that the players feel no different from anyone else and are fed up. I believe that luck should even itself out over the season and am hoping that we will get some ref / VAR decisions which work in our favour. It is difficult to judge Ralph in this situation. The run of defeats has been poor yet I am sceptical whether anyone else could go better in really trying circumstances.
I do get this but I'm not sure every circumstances is the same. We have zero confidence, a 3-0 is far worse I think for us than 1-0. We weren't playing so bad, were still in the game, and going for it so much at that moment was madness. Take the Newcastle game. They were terrible and we went for it as they were down to 9 players. I get that, albeit we needed to move the ball far quicker. But Leeds was s very different game, who were just waiting for us to do what we did. I just thought Ralph got that one wrong. Doesn't make me right, just an opinion from a slightly disgruntled fan just now.
Hmmm, soz but I cant agree with that. Both teams were playing on it, and I dont think it made any difference, other than Rom going off injured. I think we lost cos we conceded 3 goals and again coukdnt score any. Also, we are playing a good CB at RB. I'm not sure of the answers to all this, but I sure as hell hope Ralph does.
You cannot have a weak link at this level. Our failure to get in full back cover is killing us. Playing good players out of position to try and fix it only compounds the problem. For all the good work done this has rendered an otherwise really good team useless. You can see the team knows it too.
I know they’re not a barometer of the general feeling among supporters, but more and more fans on Twitter are wanting Ralph out. That’s only going to build pressure on him. There’s already some in the media questioning if he’s lost the dressing room after his ‘they gave up’ comment last night. So unfortunately I think this will get worse before it gets better as I can’t see us getting anything at Everton. We then have a very important game against Sheff, then Man City. So it could very easily be two losses from our next three, on top of the 7 from our last 8. I still dont think we’ll go down but the teams below us could easily close the gap this weekend and we may find ourselves just five points above Fulham, right in the relegation battle with relegation form. I think Ralph is the man for the job. I’d be gutted if he left or was sacked, but my point is I think there is a lot more pressure to come and I hope Ralph and the club hold their nerve.
I don’t want RH to leave, we over achieved at the start of the season, however, we are massively under achieving in the middle of the season. If the world realigns, we as a mediocre mid table club, should pick up 10/12 Points over the last 13 games. However I do think to myself, what would the atmosphere be like on forums etc if we had Puel, Pelligrino, Hughes etc, in charge on two 9-0 defeats and the worse run of results in the clubs history? I do think Ralph is over messiah’d by many. Like I said, I think he is a decent manager doing a good job with a bunch of bang average players and no money. In the summer we will be losing Ings and Bertrand, as well as hopefully be selling deadwood.
We’re still in the cup chaps. We only need to win three more games this season - one of them’s against Bournemouth - and we’re in Europe next season.
I think the difference with Ralph is that, in the main, he’s proved he can get this average squad playing well and getting pretty good results (the last 8 aside). Hughes, Pellegrino and to an extent Puel showed no signs of hope. To me I think it’s clear that with some backing Ralph could very easily get us back into the Europa League and most fans see that potential. The problem is he doesn’t have that backing and is not left with much to work with.
