Hahaha! It’s an absolute joke this team. Another goal conceded in the last minute. We’ve had 18 attempts and only scored 1, Wigan have 4 and score 2. Laughably bad. Just ****.

I am now convinced we will not win another game this season - we may score a few, but we will concede many more than we score. No hope for this squad in div 1, and if we are to survive in div 2 next season, we will need to clear out the dead wood and replace with some quality players. Season over I'm afraid, sooner it ends and we are put out of our misery, the better.

I've had a good evening. I've watched a comedy film with the family and had a laugh. Usually im in my own little bubble listening/watching our games but I stayed away. We got a takeaway from domino's (no pineapple on them don't worry). Same again this Saturday afternoon.

I've popped on to see the score and im glad I stayed away from the game and saved a tenner. This does hurt me to say but I will say it... I just don't care anymore. We had to win tonight in my opinion. Results tonight elsewhere means we could be bottom come 5pm Saturday. Good luck to those who will watch/listen to it <ok>

Thought McCormick was our best player tonight and he took him of three substitutions at 85 mins didn't have chance to get in the game let a loan make a difference. They still believe they have to walk the ball into the net can't understand why they will not shoot unless they are in the penalty area. wherever you score from you still only get one goal added to your total.

Still maybe it will be easier in league 2 as most of the better teams are coming up

Sounds like you had a better evening than the rest of us!! I reckon now that Tis never stood a chance with this shower of **** he inherited, and can count himself a little unfortunate - Barton should be told to write off this season and rebuild with a view to div 2 football next season, on which he will be judged. Wael should forget about a new ground anywhere else, apply for permission to redevelop the Mem as far as we can and cut our losses. Lets be honest, we don't need a big stadium that's all singing, all dancing. We are NEVER going to be anything other than a div 2/div 1 club, flitting between the two leagues, so a tarted up version of what we already own will suffice for us. We will never fill anything bigger so why pay for it. Crewe have got a lovely little ground that might not have a huge capacity, but puts ours to shame - and they are more likely to need a bigger stadium than we are, any time soon. We need to accept our limitations and forget any aspirations we may have for the future, because it simply isn't going to happen. We have always been a bottom tier club (div 3/4) and always will be, so the club needs to accept that and make the best of it.

Once we had hired Barton I thought well maybe he could be the guy to kick the players into action after a couple of 'soft' managers.
Then I realised you need decent players to do that with and that's where it all falls apart

Barton made all the same old team selection mistakes and then left it far too long to make the changes. This is now reminding me of the Buckle/ Penny era, and I'm not at all optimistic. It was probably the worst time to appoint a new manager, and I think we're going down.

In fairness I think it will take Barton a little while to see what each player can do.
Also I don't think we could have carried on any longer with the Tisdale situation as that was heading for disaster anyway.

The first win of the Barton era - we’re clear by 2 points which is good news.

JvS came on for the injured Joe Day and saved a last minute shot to preserve the win. Sounded like we dominated the game but almost gave it away again right at the end.

Hope this is the point where we put a run together and move away from danger.

Certainly cause for optimism and a feather in JB's cap for actually getting the side to play like a proper football team for much of the game. A much improved performance all round by the sounds of it, despite the wobbly last 10 minutes when I was afraid we were going to chuck it all away again! Hopefully that win will instill some belief and confidence in the players and they will put up a good performance on Tuesday evening. 16 games left now, that's 48 points up for grabs, if we assume we will need @50 points to survive, another 20 points needed. That shouldn't be beyond us, should it?.......................................................................!

After watching the extended highlights this morning I noticed that:

1, Our first goal was a superb move

2, Our press was excellent and directly led to our second goal - Hanlan played really well too

3, We should’ve won more comfortably as we were by far the better team

4, Why did we play in black and gold at home instead of the blue and white quarters - were they in the wash?

5, It sounds like there are quite a few people at the Mem, despite no fans allowed

    6, I liked Barton’s post match comments.

Shrewsbury's home kit clashes with our home kit.
Their away kit also clashes with our home kit.
Their 3rd kit also clashes with our home kit.

Options were, they use one of out kit (it didn't work out last time did it) or we play in out away kit.

Joe Day ruled out of the Burton fixture under the concussion rules Jordi Van Stappershoef in goal Armstrong on the bench

Line ups appear to be the same as the Shrewsbury game apart from the GKs.

Jakkola back training according to Bristol Live

For some strange reason, I am quite optimistic about the Burton game tonight - got a gut feeling that we will come away with all 3 points, and keep our push to safety rolling along. Burton's best form seems to be away from home recently, and they are very inconsistent in their home games, not that we are any better in the consistency league! This is a typical '6 pointer' and I just have a feeling that JB will have them suitably fired up not to lose tonight and hopefully, nick a couple of goals. probably against the run of play. Hope my optimism isn't borne by hope and desperation but we will all know if I'm talking total boll***s by 10.00pm tonight!

Luke McCormick sent of second yellow

    Normal service resumed Burton 1 - 0

About time we refreshed the team we are allowed 5 subs we are losing and it's the 73rd minute

Why are we making defensive substitutions in the 88 minute

98 minutes of football and we have 9 shots 2 on target, those stats scream relegation to me league 2 here we come
