In fact I think I only saw him play once ironically in that game against Ipswich. He's ripping Alex Bruce one in that clip.
There are certainly a few players in the squad who think they should be playing in Premier League after seeing Bowen's move to West Ham (Wilks and KLP spring to mind) but I've said it again, a good manager will coach players with raw talent, iron out the creases and improve their overall game whilst ensuring their head's in the right place and squeezing the very best out of them. This **** in charge does the opposite, and even worse, throws Wilks under the bus when talking to the media.
The effect that man had on the team cannot be underestimated, regardless of how many minutes he spent on the pitch.
I look at our young forwards like KLP, Wilks and even Scott and just wonder how different their development would be under a manager like Adkins.
That goes with being a professional footballer. This group does have talent. But it is not being organised consistently, in such a way to accentuate that collective talent. That's why we can muller them at Portman Road, and get spanked at the Circle just a few months later.
I thought it was Marco Silva who gave Bowen his first team debut for City in the Premier League ? Silva saw the potential and gave him the opportunity.
Silva gave him his debut, but Adkins gave him his first start and he became the player he now is thanks to him. If only KLP and Wilks were under him too.
KLP is a natural striker with real potential like Bowen, but is playing under a manager who plays him out of position on the left of a front 3. He needs to be played alongside another striker in a front 2 to achieve his potential. Under McCann he is going backwards as a player
If his and his useless assistants body language during the game was anything to go by they think it is all over. Hopefully tomorrow we get the words It is now!!!
Well said Ric. Poor ball control, can't pass, knocked off the ball too easily. A pathetic show. On top of that I lost my stream so it's £10 saved on Saturday.
