Disagree. It wouldn't have been a great finish. He should have scored. Bad miss and a poor decision not to simply lay it off for a tap in..
He didn’t. He simply changed personnel on the pitch. Formation was 4-3-3 which is why we got overrun in midfield.
Wide players with a more defensive mindset for out and out forwards. Idea seemed to me was that they'd shore up midfield when out of posession. As I said, didn't work but that was my reading of the changes.
Maybe your right. To be fair though it was the only thing he did in the second half. Either he or Wilks should have been deployed on the halfway line as our get out ball to push them back. Not sure how McCann can't see this but also how the 11 on the pitch can't see this too. I'm still pissed off about yesterday but at least we didn't lose. Still all to play for UTT
4-3-3 it’s not only his favoured set up, it’s his only set i.e., no Plan B. He had good player’s at his disposal during his one full season at Rovers Rowe, Sadlier, Whiteman, Cameron John but never knew how to play them to their strengths. We were a better side collectively than Charlton in what was was to prove to be McCann’s last game in charge & we took them to the wire in the semi-final play off games but McCann didn’t have the gonads to attempt to make amends the following season having gone so close & with the backing of a board most managers & supporters would give their right arm for. That’s what sticks in my craw, the man has no morals, no loyalty. So good luck with him at the helm. I’ve no doubt he looks at his bank balance every Friday night before he glances at the next day’s team sheet.
So in a nutshell you are pissed off he walked out on you but your glad because he only knows one way to play. What concerns me most is....I am ****ing replying to you. Time for bed
Exactly right, instead of bringing on defenders, which made us sit even deeper, we should have put an extra player in midfield to stop them further up the pitch. Where is Batty when you need him, oh I forgot.....
He’s also ****. I wish he had stayed at Doncaster. Unfortunately we’re lumbered with a dopey manager in one plan McCann for the foreseeable future. There’s only a few of our fans that cling to the notion he’s doing a good job.
Batts better than Slater, but given the KLP saga, I wonder just how much him going was down to not signing the contract offered last season. Donny lad certainly seems to have a chip on his shoulder. Should perhaps raid them again for Moore if McCann spaffs up promotion....
Agreed Bobby Moore would be a great addition as Captain and Patrick Moore as our Manager cause he would know who our stars are.
Confirms my theory that even if Greaves plays 500 game for us, he'll never score. Absolute bollocks this.
Didnt someone back him to score first... think they posted here... did they get paid out..? No doubt someone will add that to Magennis impressive goal tally in discussion,..
