I agree with everything except Leadbetter. He cannot start our games he slows us down we were twice the side against Doncaster without him. He should come late on when we need to hold a lead
everyone basing our 'need to win' games on those above us managing to keep going as they have been, already been a couple of 'stutters' and as the season goes there will be suspensions and injuries while we have the strongest bench/good back up and players returning from injury to further boost the squad. if we can keep this going and get a few straight wins on board instead of those damn draws we will be at least in the mix...anyone care to go back and look at the points difference around the covid break to what it is now?
Fair enough mate, all about opinions. For me he sets tempo whatever the situation. He may be the most game aware and composed player we have. When we need to go forward quickly he sees things faster than anyone else in the base 3. When we need to calm down he leads by example. When he is in the team I feel more relaxed as an observer. Funnily enough he wasnt at his best today, but he still brings calmness to others. Winchester looks a good successor but for now he is crucial to how we want to control things.
The way Johnson is talking, there's a fair few who are not far from being back. We can discount Willis, but Wright, Flanagan and Younger are only a few weeks away. Jones will get stronger as the season goes on. Winchester reappeared today, Denver won't be too far away and we haven't even seen Stewart yet. The replacements have performed admirably, although Left Back is a worry. There seems to be a hunger developing in the squad, and confidence is on the rise, as all of them will want a place at Wembley. It's important that this new found confidence continues. It's great to play with an air of arrogance, as long as that doesn't turn into complacency. It's up to Johnson to keep their feet firmly on the floor. If he can do that, I'm confident we'll win enough games to go up automatically. I'm not worried about any of the other teams, because we are a match for any of them as long as out attitude remains right.
He's a joy to watch mate. Always seems to be enjoying the battle and loving what he's doing. Always remember a mate of his saying that he would be successful because he works and works at improving himself. He struggled to establish himself at the start under Ross, now look at him..... absolutely thriving. I'm very confident that he will make the step up to the Championship, only hope it's with us.
Nearly as good as Churchills we will fight them on the beaches speeches, but if you write another one could you put up a government health warning first, i got a stiffy reading that now my wife's stalking me like a wolf round a rabbit.
Was watching the highlights of our last win at Burton in 2017/8 and McGeady looks a hell of a lot trimmer now. I think he has used his time out the team to get a lot fitter. I'd dare say his stamina and athleticism is better now that it was 3 years ago
Will young Rossy even get a game? Impossible to drop Wyke at the mo and everybody else seems to be upping their game.
Quite possibly bit part but fair to say we are going to have to use the full squad in the coming months
I almost don’t wanna say it cos I’m so happily focusing on our wonderful week, but Fulham are proper reeling in The peasants now. There’d be a certain beauty after the League One **** and ‘warm glow’ if we ended up in the same league next season with an owner the fans are behind.
