Liverpool vs Manchester United is an early kick off.It is still early in the season for this game to take extra dimesions;but the game between Liverpool and Manchester United is one both supporters are excited about. This is not going to be a high score goal match;a narrow victory is most likely to be the result. My prediction Liverpool 2: 1 Manchester United . Other fixtures and prediction. Lawro called a draw: Liverpool v Man Utd (1245) Any meeting between these two always has a bit of an edge to it, although I don't think the early start will help in making it a decent game. The players will still be waking up, never mind the crowd. I'm expecting it to be pretty tight, though. As good as Manchester United's start has been, in the last few games they have been a bit porous at the back. Norwich were the latest team to get at them and create a few chances, and that is becoming a little bit of a problem. Liverpool are still improving as a team and, before the international break, they got a bit lucky in the Merseyside derby when Jack Rodwell was sent off but they still had to go on and win that game no matter what the circumstances behind it were. They would obviously have seen a trip to Everton followed by a home game against United as problematic, and would be happy to come away with a win and a draw from that sequence of matches. If you offered Kenny Dalglish and Sir Alex Ferguson a point each at Anfield, I think arguably they would take it. That is ultimately how I think it will turn out. Prediction: 1-1
