That sounds like a bit of a dig at some of the earlier criticism, especially towards Kane maybe. Fair enough. They're all doing us proud now and the effort and spirit is outstanding.
Well well well another grafted for three points. As has rightly been pointed out on here we are now a mere 10 points off the play-offs with two games in hand. Very little doubt for me that Charlie and Stefan have brought in much needed experience and no small amount of skill. We are holding our own against teams with a better group of players and much deeper pockets but you cannot put a price on confidence and effort. We are doing ok on the first and I believe are second to none on the latter. We need to be mindful now that the fixtures are going to come thick and fast, worse than us for most others due to the two postponements. Warburton will have to manage his small squad very carefully on this run-in. What is great about this squad is the impact that players like Willock and Adomah make coming off the bench. Without wishing to dampen our enthusiasm it should be noted that we really rode our luck today and were quite fortunate not to be a couple down before we took the lead. It is one of my big frustrations that even our most experienced players at times switch off and are dropped by the player they should be marking in defensive areas. Their goal today really should have been prevented, you could see in the build what was going to happen. How often do we concede to the simple nod back across the danger area. Even the players that we know are still not performing to their full ability (Dykes for one) are working incredibly hard for the cause and deserve praise for giving the maximum effort. I would always prefer seeing an average player busting a gut than a class one cruising! Lads (and lass), Dickie for the Premier League? Come on now, he is way too slow. It was lovely to see him doing a bit of Roederesque marauding today, he needs to learn the shuffle. Mostly positive thoughts but as stated earlier, we have a lot of games coming up and fatigue will be a bitch.
Assuming you are talking about a not606 group outing to see McFly, or Ricky Gervais...all the details and updated information can be found here; https://www.ssearena.co.uk/
Not enough credit being given to me for my lucky p1ss which I was having as Kane scored. Hopefully will get a mention in Warbs post match.
Happy days are back at Loftus Road. Huge well done The Rsss. No bad player on the pitch for us but special mention Johansen. Very happy.
What a great result, rode our luck in first half but really worked our socks off and could have won going away if Bonne had put chances away. Preston up next on the end of a 4-0 battering by the Sheepshaggers so will be out to stop the rot. It's actually been an enjoyable New Year so far for us, keep it going lads...
Totally agree Bonne only had chances as he put himself in that position. I would love to see him get a run alongside Charlie. Dykes needs break
Unfortunately his criticism is totally correct. If you or I got 40 chances to cross a ball every game then I would expect a couple to be worldies. If I was a right back I wouldn't show my winger inside at every opportunity. I love Kane for his enthusiasm but he is not a great player, and his reaction clearly shows that, as a decent footballer wouldn't react that way
He'll want to stay at this rate. Do we have an option to sign Johansen permanently? I know the Field loan is with a view to a permanent deal.
Another great result, from what I've read here, not particularly pretty especially first half, but another huge second half performance. Chuffed to see midfielders contributing goals, particularly as our strikers (Bonne & Dykes) are running dry. Well done Warburton and the team. I firmly believe it is the influence of Charlie and Johansen that is helping the squad, long may it continue. "We are together" - remember what happened the last time we used that slogan Enjoy the celebration fellow-Not606ers. It is going to be another great weekend.
Felt like we nicked that result, but then Bonne could have had a hat-trick in the last 10 minutes. All of our January signings have improved the squad, and the spirit seems really good. On our day we're as good as any team in this league, with the exception of Norwich maybe, and although it's a very long shot, the play-offs really are a possibility. A word for Dom Ball, who I thought was excellent today, and Willock who always looks dangerous coming off the bench.
