"Brentford FC selects its players based on statistical values and is therefore often associated with Billy Beane, the Oakland Athletics and the Hollywood film 'Moneyball'." Owner Matthew Benham got rich with sports betting and has used the "moneyball" principle at both Brentford and FC Midtjylland in Denmark. Underdogs rarely win by doing the same things as everyone else. In two centuries of lopsided military battles, Ivan Arreguin-Toft has found that, when the weak tried to do the same as the strong, they lost four times out of five. But when the weak used an unconventional strategy, they won three times out of five. Brentford believe they must be different if they are to defy their budget—Benham vows the club will become self-sustainable, and in any case, financial fair play rules constrain their spending—and reach the top tier in English football for the first time since 1946/47. There's a great deal of hatred aimed at Brentford, and it's fans. Regardless of that, they are a great football Club. Keep on hating Cardiff, though. They have no redeeming features.
Excellent foreword yet again Taff, many thanks We’ve got enough in the tank to see these off, but they need to up their enthusiasm and work rate. If we’re not changing up midfield for this one, and/or swapping JL for Whittaker or Mozza then it’ll be tight. Personally, AA starts up front with Mozza, rest JL, swap out Fults & Dhanda for CH & KP. Keep Routs in there in front of KS too. MG & KP to sit in. Back 4/5 pick themselves, be interesting to see if the same 4/5 get selected based on the Forrest game. Woody & Bennett (+2 possibly Guehi & Cam Evs) are first on the team sheet. I’d give Manns a start on the left, CR obvs right. We’ve also proven we can win ugly, and it’ll be a test of character to see who turns up in this sh1t weather. HUD 0-2 SWA #COYS #COYJBs
No result is a given but we rode our luck Wednesday and anything resembling the same performance then I can see only one winner and it won't be us . I'm certainly not bigging us up but atm we must be considered something of a scalp which could that be enough incentive for the opposition and especially for a side in R/hams position
