I don't know if you ever venture North or not DBT? Here's 2 you'd enjoy visiting,1 in Edinburgh(the bow bar on Victoria St,bottom pic) and the other in Glasgow(the pot still,Hope st,top pic).

I recommend them both if and when you ever get the chance....Real Ales and Fine Malts aplenty. inside-the-pot-still.jpg db8ce7c1e75aeced418c5270660f68b9.jpg

I do go North young man.
I used to go to Edinburgh regularly with work and tended to drink in the Hebrides (I think? near the Edinburgh dungeon round the corner from Waverley Stn) Beautifully grim
Done Glasgow a couple of times but to be honest can’t remember where I drank. (but definitely did!) I’m back later in the year for a Billy Bragg gig at Barrowlands though so I’ll bear that in mind <cheers>

The last time I was at Donny was the cup when Leo was with us and he put out a U23's side who put in a really good performance. There was a lot from us there, and it was a really good night even though we narrowly lost.

Tinpot, Mickey Mouse, banner flying small time ****house of a football club. Nothing more than a rough buggering using crunchy peanut butter as lube will suffice.

Last timeI was at Donny for a game is when their **** of a chairman told them to parade the cup at our end. We'd filled the stand that day, he could've caused a riot thick ****.

I hate Doncaster. One night after a game at FER ARK, me and Dad stopped off for a couple in Avenue and there was a Donkey fan in the bar shouting his mouth off "Hull City are ****" etc.

If I hadn't been with my old Dad I don't think I could have held back.

Happily he did take a good pasting in the car park after he been chucked out.

An away fan giving it big noises in Avenue after a game? Big mistake <doh>

More likely to get a riot because of lack of mirrors in the toilets with some of our fans,<laugh>

It was so busy that I couldn't get in the stand behind the goal and ended up round the corner almost level with the penalty spot.

I think the announcer said something like, "This is something we thought you'd like to see." It was all about them being champions the year before when we were both promoted and we were runners up. I thought it was a very strange move at the time. It wasn't even early in the season when you could gave understood them wanting to show it to their fans. Our support seemed almost unmoved by it. That could be because very few of us had seen that trophy before and didn't know what it was. They called it the Third Divison Trophy, and I am wondering if it was the same cup we won in 1966 or whether it was the old Fourth Division Trophy as it was for the champions of the fourth tier. I am guessing it was the Third as they moved the Championship Trophy downwards when the Premier League arrived.

    Maybe.

There fans seem rather weary about today’s game.

I couldn't remember the reason why but I remember their chairman getting a bollicking off the police for his actions. The police also praised city fans for keeping calm.
