Are you certain about that? I seem to remember, in my QPR histroy book from the early 90's, that the first game was a 1-1draw, so both clubs held the trophy for 6 months each..... The game was replayed and THEN we got hammered!!! Or did I imagine that? *EDIT* http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FA_Community_Shield
I'm going to give up now due to lack of interest. I thought it was a good idea to do do a quiz, to give us a break from all our deliberations on all that is QPR. Plus, I came off night shift this morning and i'm back on tonight. So i'm off for a light snooze. Fot those who are interested here are the next 5 questions. 6. What no. shirt did Ray Jones ( RIP ) wear? 7.Which club did we sign Phil Parkes from in 1970? 8.Which QPR manager was sacked in 2008, after only 15 games in charge? 9.In which year did we move from White City Stadium to Loftus Rd? 10. What is our record attendance at Loftus Rd v Leeds ( 27th April 1974, I was there! A young 8 yr old, passed to the front of the crowd & sat on the edge of the pitch, in the S. Africa Road Stand, sigh. ) Thats it, onwards and upwards R'sssssss.
Uh-hum, No indeed you didn't. Please accept my humble apologies for that omission. But regardless, the answer was still the same. Thanks for participating aero.
No need to apologise, buddy! The result was the same, in the end....a 4-0 drubbing!!! (I think I MAY have made the 6 month stint with the shield up, though....Maybe I WAS imagining it after all!!)
