Just talked to the lads and we're in. There are plenty of hotels, with free cancellation, so we're currently booking enough for 50 people. There's a pub, near Wembley, with a Sunderland landlord who I'll speak to who might put a spread on. We were there for both of the last Wembley games.
If we not allowed in, but they starting to open up (as may well be the case), would be amazing if the club could let a few thousand in for a beam back at the SOL, or outside the SOL. All subject to approval of course but you know March is looking more like the start of normality returning. I wouldn’t personally gan to London just for that, with no Wembley, much as I’d love to.
If lockdown ease's im bolloxed for watching this. I take it the final will be on sky. I've put a weeks holiday in at work w/c 15th March (missus needs to take this week), in the hope that if the lockdown does ease, we could get to the caravan in Scotland for a week, Saturday till Saturday. We've not been since October, and if if it was open, I couldnt ask her to wait till the Monday, she really does need a break.....we both do. No wi-fi, no 4g phone signal, and i doubt a pub in Kirkcudbright would put it on even if one was open!
Knowing thus government, they’ll relax restrictions and open sports stadia with 2 days notice for the final!! or, knowing the efl, they’ll say “we’re issuing the number of tickets to each club in accordance with this season’s average league gate”
I am chuffed that we are at Wembley but there is absolutely no way that I am going to london during a pandemic. It won't be safe in trafalgar square/covent garden. Think we'll look pretty idiotic as fans if we gather before the game in places like that. If there was a vaccine passport of something it would be reasonable, but there isn't and the numbers who'll have had 2 vaccines by then can only be low. Tele and many beers for me
Would absolutely be there if Covid rules permit, but sadly it won't happen and would hate to see stories of irresponsible SAFC fans gathering illegally. It's ironic that probably the best supported club ever to win this trophy will do so in an empty stadium! FTM
I really want to go to Wembley again although like a lot of us my record there is abysmal. Without going into the details, I need to go there with my son as the last time we were there things didn’t go to plan. I’m not getting any younger either. It won’t be this time but next time I’m able to go we will be there. Who knows, that might not be too long to wait.
If we are allowed, London has been a ghost town during lock-down, so it should be possible. Trafalgar Square and Covent Garden have been absolutely empty lately. Be nice to see it red and white...
