City's bench is plain disgusting whilst we're putting two keepers on ours just to make up numbers...hoping that next season we might actually field close to a full strength squad at some point
Thing about Citeh is that you expect them to win (challenge for at the least) the title, because of the money they spend. So when they do lift the trophy their achievement is sort of expected, its almost like PSG winning the French league (not quite as landslide).
This is true, the resources they have eclipses everyone else, the league is the minimum expectation. Much like Chelsea last decade. However if they don't win the champions league I still think peps tenure will be seen as a failure.
If he doesn't how is he different to any other manager they've had who won the league PSG looking fairly good this year, wouldn't count Bayern out. Still think it will be difficult for City on the mental side.
Always a terrible season when someone runs away with it... Usually because everyone else is **** rather than them being good too....
True, Considering their outlay you'd expect them to be completely dominant. Much like roman, I think the owners wanted to come in, spend a ton and be world renowned. Its.not worked out like that for either team. Barca, Madrid and bayern are still the big boys with maybe Juve.
It's an odd one but even with recent success I'd still put us and utd above city as a big name. Psg suffer from it as well as city, anything they achieve will always be followed by a comment about money. Both would have to be serial European winners before they cemented anything like the reputation they crave.
Haven't Manchester Thursday had a net spend similar to the oil clubs for the last two decades though?
I doubt it. Even if they have it never feels like they have spent like city or Chelsea. On top if that they've been much more successful.
