I worked in Brentford for 12 years. I consider them along the same lines as Grimsby or Tranmere or somebody. Tiny club. Tonight they will be quiet.
Waaarb Out?? No I dont think so. He will be rolling on his contract He has got us playing with some belief, and some one has sorted out the defence too. Kane is a one, half his crosses are diabolical and then he does a master stroke. Barbet MOM for me though And putting on my neutral hat...that Toney is really a nasty piece of work, if he put as much energy into playing as he does tugging and pulling and falling over he would be as good as Messi or Ronaldo
I hear you Col but some players are simply better coming off the bench and adding a different dimension to make a difference
Highlights up already! https://www.skysports.com/watch/vid...tions/championship/12221206/qpr-2-1-brentford
Funny one that Toney right. Hold up play is great and can clearly finish. At this level a superb striker...doesn't need to commit so many fouls but can't seem to stop himself.
We’re now 13pts off the playoffs, we have 2 games in hand on most of the teams above us (Wycombe, Rotherham) is it too early to start dreaming?
We are definitely building something. Bit by bit. Need to keep backing Warburton, even through the next wobble.
never but also yes! I'm just enjoying a winning run and I'll see where it takes us at the end. No obsessive checking the league table or counting fixtures yet.
Alan Freeman your boys took one hell of a beating. Great result lads. I’d say we’d have bragging rights in West London, but we always do seeing as Brentford is in Middlesex and not London.
Highlights....... https://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/12221206/qpr-2-1-brentford Ooops I see steely has them posted already, but what the hell.....
a massive change in form - maybe the new players have given the club a huge lift but maybe shipping one out to Turkey has also helped. We will probably never know what was going on behind the scenes, and whilst I think he should have stayed, the new signings (which I hope some temp loans will be turned into permanent moves) have helped turned the fortunes around Well done Warbs and the boys.
I'm happy to put my hands up to being completely wrong about Charlie. I was worried about his age and fitness, but he brings so much leadership and seems to gee the others up. Completely delighted to be so wrong.
Quite possibly the most satisfying win of the season. Seems like an age ago that we last beat Brentford and their now cocky fan base coupled with the image of Andy Hinchcliffe’s constant bias commentary towards them makes me grin ear to ear. Have to give Warbs credit for his subs, they worked a treat. Delighted for Sam Field, promising start for him, hope he carries on that form and we snap him up on a Perm. One positive of watching it with no crowd noise was hearing the communication. Austin and Johansen constantly encouraging the team, their influence has been invaluable.
