Now I'm not condoning the utter pisstake of decisions we've had during this run, nor am I saying we haven't looked bright in spells, however...we can't change the decisions that are made, but we can change how we react to them. Recently we are letting them get the better of us and they are almost giving us an excuse to lose. We need to mentally toughen up and use these bad decisions to spur us on. Chelsea will be a tough game. Tuchel has quietly been doing very well with them and their results have picked right up, but all runs good and bad come to an end. I'm confident that with no midweek game Ralph will have the team as best prepared as we can be and part of Chelseas prep will have had to be for their Champions League game a few days later. All games start level and all that. Nobody expected us to get anything against Liverpool, so why not pull a performance and result out of the bag against Chelsea?
From a football perspective the last few weeks have been truly awful. What I can’t abide though, arrogant, condescending, self righteous, holier-than-tho attitude and I’m sure this will fall on “deaf ears”. I don’t really post very often, with most of my quips being sarky humour, so you won’t lose much but I’m off & he’s all yours. COYR. OWTSGMI.
You should carry on posting Gaz even if it only on the music thread, I would like to hear some more of your stuff..
This one's easy. We're going to lose. There, I can stop thinking about it now. After all it's the hope that gets you, so if I've not a shred of hope I can do something else. Of course, this could be the game where Nathan suddenly starts scoring; where Mini explodes into life; where Stephens suddenly looks like Cafu; where Ings scores with both hands and VAR miss it .... and where Dorothy clicks her heels and we all wake up.
This Saints. We were never going to beat our duck against a team like Newcastle or Wolves. This will be a hard fought 1-0 victory to us. Next month we'll end Man City's run in their own backyard. Happy times.
Yeah, I won’t be watching this massacre Also because of VAR and no crowds. Football is losing its magic
Me too. I`ve never identified with the `it`s the hope that kills you` brigade. Quite the opposite, it`s the hope that keeps us alive!
Definition of hope and why it won't kill you. Anyone here have a dog? Just think everyday, sometimes three or four times a day the doorbell goes. What does your dog do? Bark, bark, bark. It is never for him though. That is eternal hope.
At least he's not saying he's out for 2 months or something. We really have shot ourselves in the foot by not having any backup to such an important position in the system Ralph plays though. At least Ralph has had time to work on a different system or with a certain player for this weekends game. Did he give any update on Diallo?
