Tbh my expectation is actually 17th.

It's not rocket science that's what the owner of the club sells and that's why I stopped going.

If you're going to pay and go then you should be happy with what's on offer because they're quite open and honest about what they're selling ie a relegation battle.

There's no miss sell.

I also think the fans that keep banging on about his 'our club' thing need a dose of reality... Sorry I hate the world, but it's actually not your club it's Mike ashleys club and you're invited to buy a seat at his club and at his ground.

Surely its actually more exciting being in a relegation battle than finishing comfortably safe mid-table but with no chance of winning anything?

 

I actually agree with that, but it's also not good for my cortisol level and that effects my health and wellbeing

I find absolutely no excitement in losing again, again and again, before picking up a win and saying "ok, we are now mathematically 3 points safer."

Well, the reality is we were like 4th in the table at one point for form. We have the richest owners in the world. I don't have much doubt we'll one day be challenging for Europe, but it's not simply Newcastle fans that have high expectations of us, I've seen plenty of pundits back us for a top 6 finish.

The reality is this time last year we were the worst team in the division, bound for relegation. Top 10 would be a good finish.

I expect us to finish 8th.

 

I expect us to win every game and every competition we are in.
