He’s cost us points. If we had a better keeper we would have had more points on the board. Anyway as I said I’m pleased for the kid. Hopefully he kicks on.

They've all cost us points mate ....

... I bet we've missed more sitters than he's made errors.

Agreed, unfortunately when your a keeper there is no hiding. I really think this is a turning point in our season, today will have given Burge a massive boost, over the moon for him. Sounds daft but we had a player scored 4 and a player created 4 but I’m more pleased for our keeper

Exactly mate, I would love him to kick on. At the end of the day we want them to all do well. I was happy for him today

Come on Charles lend your brother a few grand so he can get his hair back, put off buying that new Ferrari in a slightly different shade of grey for a few weeks.

I'm hoping people will give Scowen a chance after his performance yesterday.

He looks like a clockwork mouse but that's because his job is to be everywhere on the pitch. McGeady seems to appreciate him in particular because he'll always be there for a pass. What makes him look aimless, at times, is that he makes lots of decoy runs and covers defenders if they go forward which makes him look out of position.

As I said yesterday though, every team needs someone like him to do the donkey work but he's certainly not a donkey in my opinion.

I reckon it was a very poor decision for the 1st penalty
I think I have already mentioned that he buzzes around to great effective his problem for me is he puts himself in a position to score but then fluffs it. Probably a confidence thing once he gets one he will be okay.

I dont think we ever appreciated Hendo fully, me included, until he was gone. Scowen does a lot of the tidying up, harrying and then just a simple pass to a colleague who can do more damage. Underrated but needed imo.

Moving forward will the big hard men of L1 try to nobble McGeady & Wyke?
Yesterday will have sent a few shockwaves through our league and managers will be planning on how to stop it. A normal solution is to take turns with the fouls so they only get booked and not sent off.
I would hate to think it will happen but I fear it might.

    Of course they will...

Its like Kane's ankles, its well know that are 'fragile' so first chance players get, he gets kicked. I'm surprised that haven't invented some super light titanium protection for him.

Hopefully if sides do concentrate on Mcgeady and Wyke it leaves space for others.

Otherwise sides are always relying on Mcfazden to give them a penalty. Other than that he had a good game.

Having that extra man in the middle will help him, hopefully Johnson has found a formation that works for the players we have and sticks with it.
