If KLD doesn’t tease us with a photo of the stadium of light today on his Instagram I’ll be gutted <laugh><laugh> “ please sir, I want some more”

If it’s not announced today I think we can safely assume that there is a (very very minor) hold up waiting for the EFL to give us permission to.

It’s crystal clear that the deal is done and KLD is here and spending money. So I’m not worried in the slightest. I just don’t think the club would delay announcing it if they were able to, especially with KLD already here in the country.

After the poor result midweek and now a home game today, the last few days would have been a good time to give everyone a boost. The fact they didn’t suggests they’re either waiting until media are on site today, or there’s a minor admin point holding it up.

I agree it could be either of those two things.

However, I was told KLD wanted to come in with a right hand man who i assumed was Davison when he was announced. If that's not the case, the appointment of the new man might be the delay.

Whatever it is, FFS get it done!

What a novelty it will be having an owner who is fully committed to the club, it sounds like a given but we have had years of neglect from the very top. Having the direction and ambition of the club led from the top down is a major key to success. Obviously to with this you need finance and he right people in post making the decisions.

This is all starting to feel exciting again. It feels like someone is walking into a long forgotten and neglected house and is starting to pull the white sheets of the furniture inside, it won't be long to rejuvenate things and get the old place back to its former glory.

My thoughts are that this is a temporary relocation for him. He’ll be coming in and overseeing everything until he is happy with the way things are running and then leave the day to day stuff to someone he trusts. Probably be here for at least a couple of years. I’m thinking we might see his mam getting the Sunday joint from Ibbitsons in Jacky Whites in a few months.

Regarding that part of it I sincerely hope they are removed by mods from any sites they visit. I am not referring to people having the odd dig but the constant miserable b*stards who regardless of what is happening they are negative.
We need these f*ckers out of our club. 30000 hardcore supporters are better than full houses with negative people in the stadium imo.

Kind of went off alcohol over Christmas, so I've got some cold cans of Pepsi Max chilling for when the announcement is revealed. Yes, I am that sad I'll be celebrating with a non-alcoholic drink, but Pepsi Max is delicious.

For my sins I drink about 3-4 litres of this stuff every day since the pubs shut. I struggle to have a good gargle in the house. I need the pubs open. Missing my Cinzano Bianco's and small DuBonnet's.

    Here's my theory.

They are holding off with the announcement until the result of today's match is known.

If we get a tonking today, it will be announced at 5pm to give the fans a boost and take the heat off the manager and players.

    You heard it here first

I'm sure I read a while back over the road, he said he doesn't actually drink Guiness.

Blimey, I only have 1or 2 tins of it a day Max (See what I did there).

It's mostly water I drink, bottled of course. Can't be drinking any of that tap water not, don't know how much fluoride is in it.

If I push the boat out, it'll be to have a tin of Sprite. It'll be cold though, as that's the only soft drink I like that isn't chilled. Funnily enough the only one that isn't a diet or low-sugar drink as well.

I've been advised by my doctor to not have sugary drinks, and if I am to have low sugared ones or ones with zero sugar (work that one out, if you're having sugary drinks, have one with zero sugar).

The Sprites are on me, boys.

Reading back over the pages cos I was working last night. Carling Premier was always a fantastic tipple and I haven’t seen it anywhere since the late 90s I think. Anyone know if it’s stocked anywhere round the Seaburn area??
    Oh, and Haway the Takeover!!
