Don’t think we’ll be signing any out of contracts, we have the players for the rest of the season when there will be wholesale changes with the amount that we have that are out of contract
Bringing stop gaps in is fraught with danger, but maybe this is just the time to see just how good, this manager is, that's how I would see it anyway. Cometh the hour and all that.
Think we derigistered Xhemajli? Similar situation. Can only possibly see us looking at a keeper although a physically imposing central midfielder would be nice.
that's great news i have been on about the very same thing myself, we need a goalkeeper and a forward , there are plenty available out there of international standard without a club, this has cheered me Smug. After his first match i am sure KLD can see where we need to strengthen as well
Rules for this season's finance restriction are going to be really interesting. 60% of income? Does that count govt furlough pay as club income? Are they going to say paying players during covid isolating doesn't count as expenditure because clubs had no control over this and clubs were affected to different extents? I would just throw my hands up and say just forget about it for this season because of covid and EFL screw-up with the salary cap.
i remember when Big Sam brought in the KKK and he managed to turn our season round Kirchoff Kone Khazri
Think he bought those in the window Rog mate, trouble with loans it is a short term measure Dour Daves imports from Everton spring to mind.. Listening to LJ my guess he will stick with the players he had out against Shrewsbury , and try to re-build their confidence, rather than make too many changes. Its a dodgy ask, and it would not be my way, but I wish him luck, and success, whatever he does, we certainly need both atm.
i hope he brings a goalie in mate or his season could end up in tatters, still all the choices are his, the thing we don't know is how long KLD will stick with him before pulling the trigger if poor results keep coming. we can only watch and wonder as always, that's why i never play football manager and leave it to the experts all i know as a fan it hurts when we lose
i wonder if that would be legal mate after all the salary cap has been overturned surely that restricts freedom of opportunity
Copy and pasted from over there Update from EFL ... The Professional Footballers’ Association’s view the wage cap voted in by League One and League Two clubs last August was in breach of the constitution of the Professional Football Negotiating and Consultative Committee (PFNCC) was upheld on Tuesday. That meant the immediate lifting of the £2.5m ceiling in place this season in League One, along with the 22-player limit on squad size.
that's great news that means he can get much better players in, and we will have a chance of going up, thanks you again for that happy days
bet he would mate, however since this new ruling confirmed by smiler is in place we can look anywhere in the world not just the UK for much better players if we have the dosh, with covid restrictions all over Europe and lack of crowd attendance money, there are loads of out of contract players also i think it makes financial sense getting out of this league asap
just re read your post mate and now with what smiler has said it changes everything, we no longer have to look at L1 standard but we can now look for Championship standard and upwards on contracts. Im sure we all agree the team is not bad, but woeful in certain areas, up to 4 or 5 cracking signings in the positions we all can see and we would romp this league, The revenue for the championship is what we need to progress, and im sure KLD will want his folks to know that he can succeed .As i value your opinion very much i would like to hear your take on this
I was lead to believe off a m8 who had connections at Liverpool that the lad had very bad mental issues
My take is patience, the next transfer window will be worth waiting for, as that will be the time for action, we will know by then the true calibre of LJ, I expect the verdict will be favourable, either way next season and the season after that ,will be well worth the wait, SAFC is on the up.
