It was mid 70’s to around 83 when it started to fizzle out Shaks, believe me I always thought trains were the best form of transport
I have stated earlier that Arteta could well be sacked this weekend, this maybe a blessing in disguise.... If Amigo decides to go back to Argentina, Arteta would be a good replacement in my eyes, Bielsa has put in place the foundations of a very successful PL team I think, talent coming through in an abundance, there are some areas we need to strengthen and Orta has got the hit list now i am led to believe, Arteta has had a good learning curve with Pep and now at Arsenal, BUT how many ex players ever go back to manager the club they played at and become successful.... non in my eyes.
Goes without saying Duke, and don't underestimate Wiggy either, he loads the gun and let's Naughty Paddy get himself into bother

Just remembered who Ralph Coates was. As a kid, I collected football cards, & remember him & his comb-over in a Burnley strip, I think it was. I had no idea he played for Spuds. That's all a Scottish kid got to learn about him. No Google, one english match a week on telly, nothing in the Scottish papers, radio or telly. The thing is, I had hundreds & hundreds of cards over the years, but I couldn't tell you anything about any of the other cards. Why Ralph Coates? Always been a mystery to me.
aye you couldn't beat the specials....ale and piss rolling down the aisles....oh happy days,oh happy days......first class of course
Since when did 3 months mean "SOOOO much older"? I remember when we were wee that we used to swop cards when you came over from Dublin for your summer hols in Scotland. Really difficult handling the cards with your gloves on, wasn't it? See what us Scots kids had to put up with!
You been on the Sherry? I think you must be thinking of Shaks A) 3 Months? and B) since when was I from Dublin?
Oh dear, have you already got to the stage where your memory's going? I remember you well with your broad Irish accent. You were about 8 when I first met you & you were about Shaks' height.
