Just to be absolutely clear, I want Leeds to win this by as many as is possible. I haven’t, and never have had any affinity to Arsenal. In fact, I hate them with a passion, nearly as much as I hate Spurs (because of Ralph Coates haircut on the sticker albums). I hate them as much as I hate Man U and Chelsea. There is no particular order. For some reason (nothing to do with the Semi Final), I hate Coventry. Other than that, I am sort of ambivalent about the rest. While I am busy clearing things up, I’m not actually a druggie either, it’s just something that Little Paddy amuses himself with so I go along with it. Come on The Leeds
Why hate Coventry ? They build Jaguars there and have a cool looking cathedral I dislike Chelsea only because of what Ron Harris did in the cup final, in 1970 Arsenal are probably the least dislikeable London club and have never done anything for me to dislike them. I always had a soft spot for Spurs too for signing talented flair players like Hoddle, Waddle, Gazza, Ardiles, Modric, Ginola and Bale (1st time around) I only currently dislike them because of who their manager is One team I really like to see lose though is Sunderland, for beating us in the cup final, in 1973. I was there and could sense we were going to bottle it after the first few minutes.
Why hate coventry? 87 FFS I hate them with a pride and a passion. I like Jaguar cars, as for churches the world would be much better if we converted them all into carparks or pubs.
I can see us winning this one in the odd goal of 3, Monday Arteta is sacked!!! Been trying to get a double bet on but no luck as yet. Good to see ya back Ell, take note we shall not keep tolerating you absconding every so often.
Ooooooooh who must be tired after the latest drugs raid.... Oh by the way I go a long with the dwarf, midget jokes as well....morning by the way.
You forgot that **** awful group with that Leeds Utd hating lead singer, who gloated when the two boys got murdered in Turkey...The Specials.
I can only take your word for that Narcos. Well if you will leave your tranny shoes on at the meet ups, everyone will look shorter.
Yeah it happened at a gig apparently. But I haven't the evidence to hand. But I know a few fellow 606ers seen the same story.
Well I know he's a big scum fan and I've heard he does mention Leeds at gigs sometimes but gloating over what happened in Turkey crosses the line.
I know. I think his hatred also stems back to the days when the Service crew were running amok in the late 70s early 80s
The Specials' open-air gig in Leeds the other night was quite a party, with sozzled fans of all ages singing along to Ghost Town and Gangsters. Or at least it was quite a party until singer Terry Hall decided to open his mouth and put his foot in it. "Thanks very much for Cantona," he told the crowd, referring to Leeds United's 1992 sale of the legendary French forward to Manchester United (Hall's team – he's from Coventry, of course). It probably doesn't need saying that Cantona went on to do rather well for Man Utd. Suddenly, a shower of coins hit the stage. A nasty situation was narrowly avoided when the Special hurriedly added "It was a joke!" Hall has a track record in this area, and once similarly risked a lynching in Leeds by taking the mick out of their result against Mansfield. But he is hardly alone in making inadvisable onstage comments. Now I know this isn't the proof yet, but like you say he does have History... Aug 24, 2009#1 I never start a topic, but a friend at V just texted me to say that Terry Hall of the Specials made a jibe about Leeds fans and Galatasaray - "Any Leeds fans in?"..."Exit's that way"..."Galatasaray fans can stay"
Interesting thoughts of Arteta: "They are a really brave, dynamic and attacking side. I think they are a really exciting side, a great coach, great coaching staff who are all involved and a bunch of players who believe 100 per cent in what they do and they just go in every game with the same energy and enthusiasm to get the points. I think they deserve more points than they have in the table at the moment. "When you look at a lot of the game they've lost and how they've lost them, it's pretty incredible as well. Maybe they haven't deserved those defeats. They've been really punished on set-pieces as well, which is one key area there. But overall what they've produced in open-play compared to the opponent, it's difficult to see games where they have produced less than the opponent."
