Isn't there a meeting today with the EFL about further discussions regarding the salary cap? Could be why they're involved in that and there's no announcement today maybe.
If it's all done at the EFL and ratified I assume we are just waiting for the TOMO Time Of Maximum Opportunity
Nah, hes having a purple patch but is one-paced and v limited. Offer him a contract but we need an upgrade as priority.
I mean until we have someone who has proved themselevs to be an upgrade. Sorry realise I didn't make that clear, while he is hear offer him a year or two contrac Up until recently he wouldn't have even got that.
They might be playing this wisely and building up a bit of buzz and excitement. little bits and bobs throughout the week and the big announcement at the weekend
This is brilliant, I really can't wait for the club's official announcement now. (all bearing nothing catastrophic happens) Blimey, I may stop being absolutely dour now. Also, I've decided to mess around with the fonts and colours to give my posts some "Oomph"...people still say "Oomph" don't they?
Aye that’s right it was a shared double drive with the house next door big Salvation Army family I believe, my mam loved the Sally Army. I remember the greyhounds now hell that jogged my memory he used to walk them every day.Trying to remember the family who lived next door to them?
Completely agree. He’s started to put some chances away but other than that there’s not one thing he does well. Can’t hold a ball up, gets beaten in the air too easily, runs in treacle etc. Get rid ASAP and get in someone with pace and power and decent hold up play who can stick the ball in the net aswell. Let’s stop settling for mediocre
As much as I agree with you both, we need to be moving on to better players. If we get rid of him and O'Brien we are left with Stewart and Kimpioka, at this point neither we don't know enough about what either can do. As proved with Grigg you can sign a player who on paper and past record should be one of the best players at your level but still nothing is guaranteed. He is our first choice striker until one of the current lot prove otherwise or we sign someone who proves otherwise.
Gradual improvement year on year would satisfy me, as long as we get out of this league next season. If it takes 5 years in the Championship, so be it. At least then we would be playing clubs most weeks that have a greater pedigree and better grounds than the one's that we are currently up against, and hopefully better refs.
I know what you mean mate but that would just mean we have the same poor recruitment policies and are still targeting players who others don’t want. We’re on the cusp of major changes. One of which will be putting proper plans in place for recruitment and development of players. That should mean that plodders like Wyke are no longer signed by SAFC Grigg hasn’t wanted to be at Sunderland since day 1 imho. Another who would’ve been weeded out if proper recruitment was in place
Hope so mate. Tuesday night sickened me tbh from teamsheet fiasco, Willis injury and the shambolic performance thereafter, all in front of our new owner. Winds of change tomorrow, a summer reboot and then onward and upward. HTL
Worries me that Donald thinks he is the right man for the job given Donald’s record of ‘appointing’ people Haway tomorrow
How long before we see KLD on a podcast? Obviously I think he'll be advised not to do the fan ones, maybe he'll go on the clubs "Unfiltered" pod.
That's his call. There maybe something I am not privy too mate. Some strange regulation that EFL have to have first dibs. Remember, I get wind from people at the club. Not Rodwell like Bob. He maybe right. Who knows. I am told it's done. I have spoken to a person who actually spoke to KLD today and my friend was very impressed. Wouldnt expect anything else like.
