I was thinking it was alright. I was a bit worried that we'd be low on confidence but it doesn't seem that way. Just need to get the forwards more involved. Easier said than done of course with Wolves soaking everything up, so will probably need a bit of magic to go our way.

Cue Wolves hitting us on the break now.

Both sides look like they could play 900 mins without scoring.

We just need to move the ball quicker. Match has the pace of a pre-season friendly.

If we can play 90 minutes without conceding, that’ll be a considerable improvement on recent form.

Not the best and not the worst. Felt a bit like a half we would have played prior to the last two matches. Strong at the back, toothless going forward. Bednarek has a bit of confidence back and I've been pretty impressed with Salisu. Ings looks completely devoid of confidence which is a real worry though

I thought we’ve looked pretty good. Okay, final ball/ball in net stuff is still flummoxing us, but that’s what happens with a team low in confidence. Get one, we’ll start a nice run on.

Favourite moment was Moussa going on one of his runs where he falls over the ball/turns around in circles/kicks his own foot, and Stu just took it off him and *drove* forwards. That’s how you do it young man.

Lots of foreplay but no penetration

Felt to me like we were lacking width that the full backs should be providing, both they and wingers are trying to sit narrow and it gets too congested.

Wolves 3 at the back means there should be space for KWP and Bertrand to get wide

Glenn Hoddle talking a bit of sense there, about letting the officials do their job...

Yes - exactly! Only Stu seems to be intent on driving forward. Both Moussa and Nathan are toothless and appear to give almost nothing. At least Che moves and gives Danny some space. At the moment he’s getting snuffed out and we need someone to drop their shoulder and actually drive into the box.
We’re actually missing Theo to partner Danny I think.

No but I would like to see us up the tempo, move the ball quicker at least.

In the first twenty, we did and looked good. Hardly a surprise that we’ve eased off a bit, plus Wolves have sorted their shape out in the second half of that half.

I don’t know why I say things like “I’m looking forward to watching Saints on the box tonight” because it’s invariably ****ing agony

I do agree Tom, but you have to take everything into the situation. The season, the pressing, the opponents. See my post above too

You always seem to take a snapshot view, when you have to think about the whole picture. We looked good enough and created enough openings in the first 20 to be leading this game. I’d say that’s our miss here, not taken the early openings

Would be really nice for another team to do a Saints style error for us to break our own self-enforced deadlock.
