This article explains some of it. Of course the costs are taken out before the money is divided up. As it explains the costs of the broadcast are taken out first. It is possible for City to make more than the home team if we sold enough for an away game. I should imagine Sunderland are raking in more for their away games than the home teams for one. Of course we have a lot on Dare To Dream only watching if someone does a free stream and depriving the club of income. https://www.manchestereveningnews.c...-ifollow-streaming-revenue-explained-18975658
I doubt the formula has changed: https://www.bradfordcityfc.co.uk/news/2020/september/ifollow-financial-benefits--outlined
There aren't really many watching on Dare to Dream, it states how many are watching in the top corner and it's generally been about 200 whenever I've looked.
People pilfering £2,000 of stock you had paid for 2 or 3 times a week wouldn't have been considered inconsiderable.
The Dare to Dream feed is generally someone holding a phone in front of a telly, it's not something you'd go for if you actually wanted to watch the game. I suspect the people watching are those that simply wouldn't watch it at all if it wasn't free and people who are away from a computer and just want a glance at what's going on (which is when I've looked at it). No doubt it's taking some cash away from the club, but it's probably not a great deal.
The big problem he has is that he has asked for money and sponsorship. It isn't the club that would go after him, its the EFL.
Lot of probably's there. The name of the site needs changing then, don't you think ? Perhaps to' Dare to Dream as long as it doesn't us cost anything' Read some of the posts on there. Lots of pent up abuse for a club they only have a passing interest in ? Don't think so. If someone was stealing from your company in such a casual way and advertising the fact, then publicly slagging you of because the item they stole off you wasn't what they expected, I don't think you'd see it as a minor irritation.
I wasn't condoning or excusing what they're doing, just saying I doubt it's actually costing the club much. The page is full of raving lunatics, as are most of the City Facebook pages.
