    I doubt it.

The summer is when we’ll see what he’s about money wise.

Just been reading some of his tweets. An angry little gobshite. I'm still pissed off about when he stopped us having a beam back for our fans who couldn't go to the rearranged mid week match for originally abandoned game at Accrington that should never have kicked off because of the state of their pitch that everyone could see was unplayable. His excuse then was that we were doing him out of money. Yet that original game only went ahead because of the number of fans we took, who would have got next to nothing as a refund because the game was in the second half.

State of this league though there are going to be loads of them that would improve us. Not many clubs in our position this far down but with money to spend, I fancy we could do some business. I'd mainly be looking at short term deals for veteran players to help get us to the end of the season.

We are a premier league sized club, revenue, fan base, social media, we have been run into the ground by greedy ****s, it’s that simple

Isn’t that what Moyes did with us? Worked out well.

Maybe we sign good ones this time? Just a thought.

See Allardyce at Bolton for how it can be done well if your imagination can't do it for you.

One manager at one team mate. Not saying it can’t be done but it’s a big risk.

I don't see how it's a big risk, what's the alternative sign nobody? Pick the right players, plug the right gaps and we increase our chances of moving up the league. I said veterans because I don't think we want to be signing young relative unknowns on long term contracts and I think a bit of experience in the side wouldn't go amiss.

There are some quality frees available, whether they'd come is another matter.

I reckon Joan Collins would have a bit of experience because of her age. Doesn’t mean I’d have her playing up front for us now.

I don’t have one. But it’s not my job to have one. I peaked at nine years old when I captained my class football team one week. And unless you have a few years experience in professional football and it’s machinations, more specifically as a manager or coach then anything you come up with as a plan shouldn’t be taken too seriously either.

Well thanks for your comment about not signing Joan Collins, very insightful.

I think we can improve the squad with free transfers. If they're in their early twenties all the better but that's more of a risk to me than getting some proven quality in until the end of the season. I'd class Kirchhoff and the French RB (Reveilliere?) as veterans and they were both pure class.

I’d do completely the opposite. Pick younger players on the way up with technical ability enthusiasm and energy

Not sure he would, quite a few “ premier” players failed for us as we fell through the leagues. He was weak and could no longer run, doubt he’d have done much. Top notch veterans like Bould and Revelliere can have an impact, finished journeyman types don’t. We’ve seen that with several of Moyes buys and more recently Loovens and Graham.
Fine if you can get Zlatan, usually not so good.

From the free transfer list? It'd take too long to identify them, then get them in for trials, then integrate them into the team and gradually get them up to speed by which time the season's nearly finished and no guarantee they would do a job for us (see Vokins).

Some quality and reliable experience to plug a few gaps until the end of the season is what we need from the free transfer market imo, then implement the grand plan after that.
