Mate I’m the most optimistic bloke in the world when it comes to SAFC but there’s no way we’ll get automatic this season without a competent keeper.

He said before the start of the transfer window that we wouldn't be bringing in players that are injured or unfit as it's happened too often here...... Two out of the four brought in are injured.

I'd love to know how KLD picked apart the performance last night.

He needs to stop switching players in / out and stick with a team. Here's who I would play on Saturday, assuming McFadzean is fit (I know, I know he is crap, but there's not much else is there?)

    Patterson
    O'Nien, Sanderson, Wright, Mcfadzean
    Scowen, Neil
    Jones, Gooch, McGeady
    Wyke

Alternative left back is O'Nien if Mclauglin is fit. Mclauglin has looked OK at right back when Johnson 1st arrived.

For me, last nights result and display took the shine off the soon to be announced takeover. I realised we will. be in this league for another season. I went straight to bed to miss the meltdown but have to say the performances of ALL recent acquisitions not just those on the pitch has not impressed me at all.
    Fingers crossed for next season.

Johnson's comments about the new owner, and the absence of the old one, suggest things are already known and that the manager is at liberty to speak about them. I was fully expecting a statement yesterday and will be surprised if there isn't one today. Louis-Dreyfus isn't exactly being discreet, nor is the manager, which makes me believe they're putting pressure on the EFL who have no grounds for delaying things. No one knows if KLD will be a success, but the interest alone from the money that he has behind him is more than enough to sustain the club.

It's got to be announced today, surely. Local journos tweeting pictures of KLD at the match, manager talking openly about him, fans forums talking about him. Please be today :emoticon-0150-hands

My biggest worry is this basket case of a club breaks this young bloke within 2 or 3 years like it has done with every body else and he buggers off.

Should be alright if he keeps on bringing in people like Speakman and sets up extensive scouting networks and all that, sounds like we'll be run cleanly and professional and the days of madness will be behind us.

    That’s fair enough mate.
Don’t want to add pressure but if this frittering away of points continues at its current alarming rate we are likely to be mid table at best rather than the play offs.

The job he has on here is astronomical. We are at the lowest point in our entire history

It's tough to be a supporter at the moment. I couldn't imagine how bad it would be, if it wasn't for the knowledge of KLD coming in very soon.

On a brighter note, the team will be unrecognisable next season. Pace, flair, skill, strength.

Its his club now so its on him. In theory there is nothing that should get in his way. He has plenty of cash, we aren't lumbered with players on 50k a week with 4 year contracts. We have an amazing stadium and training facility. We have a fanbase who will fill the place in a heartbeat at the first sign of success.

I'm optimistic, just need to stay patient. If we get up this year great, but I'm happy for the lad to have time.

Prehab said yesterday it should be done by today so that suggests it’s passed the EFL stage mate

Hope so, but wouldn’t an invite for a press conference have gone out by now? An updated page on safc.com seems a bit of an underwhelming way to announce it.
