I think it’s Tuesday, who knows!!

    4:20 Didtheyleaveyououtto

What a lovely name for a horse. This boy was mustard in bumpers, his Ascot win put him in the frame with many for the Champion Bumper!!

He has been erratic over hurdles, but that means we get a decent price on the horse who was much the best of these in bumpers and I’d say he has got the edge on Imphal too despite that being a 80 odd rated flat horse.

I’m surprised he isn’t favourite here, and to me he is likely to win this and do so in good style.

I’ve also backed Giffords other interesting runner Rose Of Agaboe for similar reasons, she was another good bumper horse who hasn’t quite reached those heights over hurdles. She carries a penalty but this race looks more suitable than the one she won last time and at decent prices she can run well again.

Didtheyleaveuoutto very ground dependent I think Nass - wouldn’t want it bottomless.

Jockey decided to give the fav and winner a good 5l start, got caught on the inside, had to pull out and come wide, got beat a length.

awful ride, he misjudged the horse to follow and got trapped in a pocket. That is very annoying.

Have a lot of time for Coleman, but that was shocking. Must admit I had a very large bet on it but not pocket talk as that's the risks. He should not have been following any horse in that type of race, come wide off the bend and just lengthen. Even Ryan Moore wouldn't get into that much trouble in a 6 horse race..

These jumpers bumpers are a nightmare and mainly because the jump jockeys are clueless on how to ride the AW tracks. The Lingfield races are the worst.

I suppose it gets a bit confusing for them with no obstacles. Serious question stick. What is the purpose of bumpers?

In the normal scheme of things they are for education of NH racehorses. A place where they can learn their race craft without too much scrutiny. That was the idea years ago but they are treated far more seriously now.
Jumpers bumpers are so yards can run race fit horses when the weather conditions preclude turf racing. The cynic in me would also suggest that it’s to meet the quota of races bookmakers demand for paying the levy.
